“Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.”

“Our room (number 4) was bright and airy, dual aspect and extremely spacious. Beautifully decorated with quality art deco style accessories. A huge comfortable bed and immaculate shower room en-suite. An unexpected surprise was a small fridge containing bottled water, juice, porridge pots and cereal bars - all of which were replaced each day.Our only disappointment was that the Bath Tap and Chowder Co. was closed for the duration of our stay.”

“It was our first overnight stay here and we were pleasantly pleased how conveniently located it was to the centre. Tea, coffee and sugar provided, a very comfortable double bed which was spotlessly clean and fresh and everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Car parking is directly opposite. ”

“After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? The shared bathroom, toilet paperless, was dingy and poorly lit. Some photoshop trickery must have been used for the pics of the place. “Stayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. ”
