Weekend overnight stay as a couple

Very good for 3 star property - very clean, comfortable bed, tv and coffee provided. Slightly tired decor in terms of flooring but new bathroom suite and very clean. Do not judge this property by outside. Really popular and busy restaurant and bar and lovely food. Helpful and attentive staff.

The staff were all very helpful, especially Simon who helped us organize transportation. Food was wonderful, pub was great, and loved the outdoor seating. We ended up staying an extra night and highly recommend!

Traditional hotel in very quiet area

Simple rooms in an old building which is great if you're looking for something traditional. There's bot lift in the main building and we were on the second floor which was a bit inconvenient considering we had a baby in a pushchair. Otherwise the room was large. Breakfast and dinner were really lovely.

Money first, customer second approach

The manager really did not want my custom. He seemed more focused on reselling my room as I (admittedly) was slightly late in telling them my arrival had been delayed. Definitely a money first, customer second mentality. The place is tired too. I won’t be back.

I enjoyed my stay at The New Inn. I had injured my foot but did not check to find out that I was on the second floor! All in all though everyone was helpful and the food at breakfast was great. Thank you for a lovely stay and I hope to be back again sometime soon.
