“4th stay here this year. AC kept changing from 20c cool to 24c heat, which is too hot to sleep. The fridge was turned off when I arrived and it took mintenance to come and rescue it. A very similar story to my last visit if you look through my reviews.
No doubt I'll stay here again shortly as the local alternatives are poor. I expect more for £250 per night. Only one budweiser in the fridge this stay too, I've previously had two.
Staff helpful but couldn't put me in a quiet room due to being...

“Beautiful setting and conveniently located to Tring and especially the train station which is a couple of minutes drive from the hotel. The rooms were clean and well appointed. After hours eats/snacks are not available. The only reason I left 3 stars for "well maintained" is that much of the wood trim on the exterior of the hotel is in desperate need for paint before the intricate wood trims start to rot. The grounds are magnificent. We would stay there again.”
