We had a fantastic stay from start to finish as a party of 10 from grandparents down to young grandchildren. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were superb especially with the young children. The food and service was great and the location exceptional. Our stay at LUX* Le Morne was simply incredible. the best experience we've had in Mauritius, far exceeding all expectations. We stayed in a Deluxe Room on the ground floor, which was spacious, stylish, and perfectly located near the gardens, pool, and beach. Dining at The Kitchen was a highlight, with outstanding breakfast and themed dinner buffets. A special mention to Chef Vishal for their exceptional dishes and personal touches. The Indo-Mauritian night was especially memorable. Evenings were magical with sunsets over the Indian Ocean, live music, and local rum at the bar. The grounds were immaculate, the beach stunning and uncrowded, and the service flawless—from poolside drinks to spa treatments and thoughtful room care. What truly set LUX\* Le Morne apart was the warmth, friendliness, and attentiveness of every staff member. From the welcome at reception to the restaurant and bar teams to the special touches from the Housekeeping teams. Every interaction made us feel like family. Beautiful report. Stunning backdrop with mountain in background as you’re by the pool or beach. Everything was almost perfect. The almost is the service.. although it’s done with a smile and very warm.. it was a bit slow. We sometimes had to repeat orders. So 9/10. Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful property, wonderful staff. Location wise it feels like you’re isolated and away from everything. But if you’re staying for a couple of nights there is enough restaurants and food options but if you want to explore beyond the hotel you’ll have to go out of your way to see Mauritius otherwise your only experience of Mauritius might be of the hotel (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). The beach was nice, the seafood was great and there were lots of water activities. Take advantage of the glass bottom boat tour (complimentary for guests) that leaves at 10am and 2pm or charter a speed boat excursion to another beach with festive vibes. At night it’s generally quiet but there was a bon fire near the edge of the property. If you plan on making it a boozy vacation go for the All Inclusive it balances out in the end.

We had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Lux Le Morne, and it was truly one of the best experiences of our lives. Travelling to Mauritius to get married just the two of us felt like a big step, and we were initially a little nervous about whether we’d chosen the right place. But we didn’t need to worry. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at ease and supported us every step of the way. A special thank you to Manie, Hermant, and Bianca from Celebration Corner. They were outstanding. Every detail had been thought through with such care, and their warmth and professionalism made the whole experience feel effortless and personal. Hermant’s photography skills are second to none. He captured our day so naturally and beautifully, and gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. One of the standout moments was our private wedding meal in the treehouse on the beach. The setting was magical, and it was made even more special by our brilliant waiter, Neelesh, whose friendly and attentive service made the evening unforgettable. We genuinely loved every minute of our time at Lux Le Morne. It’s a place full of beauty, calm, and heart, and we’ll always look back on it with the happiest of memories.

What an absolutely stunning location! Absolutely beautiful! A proper honeymoon location. Room was comfortable and very clean. Mini bar facilities in the room were the best I’ve seen. Beach was pristine. Cocktails at the bar beside the beach were awesome. Staff were mostly really attentive. The only real negative for me: I resent, after paying an arm and a leg to come in the first place, having to pay extra to experience anything other than the main (buffet-style) restaurant. (Food was nice in the restaurant but we experienced nicer in nearby town La Gaulette). But all in all an absolutely beautiful resort.

We stayed for 6 nights. Restaurant staff exceptional, reception staff helpful. The estate and beach are fantastic, the room was really lovely. My wife is coeliac and the team went out of their way after 1st day to ensure food didn't include Gluten, which was really helpful. The only downside was that with our room on the outer edge of the resort, the wifi didn't work at all. That said the management assured me this will be put right shortly and were not just really polite but gave me both a lte check out and a couples massage as compensation, which was a nice gesture. Estate and food really top quality.

From disorganisation during check in to poor upkeep of hotel and below average quality of food Lux* Le Morne fails to deliver a luxury experience worthy of the overall setting and price point. As with all Lux* properties there is a lack of ambience and a massive training gap resulting in consistently poor service and lack of interest on behalf of staff to accommodate guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lux Le Morne in Mauritius, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully landscaped gardens, pristine beaches, and luxurious rooms that offer breathtaking views of the ocean. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the guest manager, Gael. He went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. Whether it was arranging special excursions, providing local insights, or simply checking in to see how we were enjoying our stay, Gael’s attentiveness and professionalism made a significant impact on our overall experience. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly sets this hotel apart. The dining experiences were equally impressive, with a wide range of cuisines and beautifully prepared dishes. We had a wonderuful stay at Luxe Le Morne for our honeymoon! The location is perfect for a quiet holiday getaway, very peaceful and relaxing. The manager and hotel staff made to sure to make our experience special by surprising us with little gifts in our room (champagne, canapés, cocktails etc), it was a nice touch. The room was lovely, overlooking the beach and we had a great view of the sunset every night! Resort had 3 restaurants to choose from which were all decent with the Kitchen restaurant offering a daily and expansive buffet breakfast, but we were quite disappointed to find out the Japanese restaurant was closed down only when we arrived at the property. The free water sports activities at the hotel were fantastic along with the Lux spa, where we were kindly gifted a free 45min honeymooners massage. We also really enjoyed the movie on the beach our last night where the hotel offered drinks and popcorn. Resort offered other daily specials which all required advance booking (which we were not made aware of until we checked in), so we unfortunately missed out on a lot of the extra fun/romantic things to do at the property. Our only criticism was that because our booking was made through Expedia, nobody from the resort contacted us in advance to inform us about advance bookings required for restaurants, experiences, airport transfers etc (this is what would have really elevated our experience). Overall, Highly recommend this beautiful resort.

We spent several nights at Lux following 4 nights at a neighbouring hotel as part of our honeymoon. The service was what really let it down the most unfortunately, especially in direct comparison to the other hotel we stayed in, which was exceptional. I was surprised that this is a 5* hotel as the standard of service is more in line with a 4*. At breakfast the staff seem quite hurried and stressed and the wait for a coffee/ hot beverage can take as long as 20-25 mins. In general the staff are not as attentive as they should be and it can take up to 10-15 mins to get served when sat at the bars or on sun loungers. They seem to have quite a few inexperienced staff who are not confident in waiting tables or serving. The Wi-Fi at the hotel is very poor and intermittent, which can get quite frustrating. We were not pre warned about the insect fogging which happens every evening and consists of a very loud machine which pumps plumes of very potent white smoke and chemicals around the buildings. If you are outside enjoying the facilities when this happens you are often caught up in the smoke, which is really unpleasant. On two occasions our room wasn’t cleaned until 5pm, which was quite inconvenient when we needed to use it. There were quite a few issues with smoke/ fire alarms going off in the bars and restaurants, on one occasion the alarm went off 4 times in 10 minutes when we were having drinks. On the last day of our stay the water in our rooms stopped working.
