This is a nice, newer property inside the restricted area at Mont St. Michel. Shuttle stop is nearby along with several restaurants. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Only downside was lack of an elevator.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gabriel! The location could not be better—it's situated right in the shuttle zone (La Caserne), making the trip to the Mont effortless, whether taking the free shuttle or enjoying the scenic walk along the causeway. ​The room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, offering fantastic local recommendations and seamless access codes for the area. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and a great way to start the morning. ​Staying here made our experience at Mont Saint-Michel completely stress-free. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

We stayed in a quad room. It was a tight room, but it fit us all. Great location with easy access to Mont St. Michael. A very functional room - not a place to hang out in. Fans were helpful as the room was very warm. Removal of the chandelier would be helpful for all guests.

Really enjoyed this hotel. It was a great base from which to visit Mont St Michel. Parking was easy and convenient and the staff were really helpful. The room was small but perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful, perfect for fuelling up before exploring the Mont.

We stayed at Hotel Gabriel in July as a family of 5, three teen boys. The 'family room' included a queen bed and a loft with beds for the boys. The ladder to the loft was steep but it was ok since our kids are older. The room did not have a/c, only a large floor fan and we kept the one window open when we were in the room. The hotel itself is basic. Nothing fancy, but good for a one night stay that was very close and convenient to Mont Saint Michel. The shower/tub combo was a rare treat considering most showers in Europe are very compact. We found the hotel carpet that looks like wood planks to be very interesting. That said, it did not seem like any of the hotels in the area were super fancy. We did have breakfast in the lobby area in the morning and it was nothing extravagant, but we didn't want to go elsewhere. The coffee machine worked well so that was nice. Upon check-in the hotel staff offered to help secure us a dinner reservation, which was very kind and appreciated.

The hotel's location is right in front of Le Mont Saint Michel, and you have a free bus that takes you to the castle. The hotel definitely used an interior designer's help, and it looks pretty, not like a plain hotel room. The only tip I can give is that the food during breakfast must be covered. It is painful to see flies over those fresh croissants. It is a rural location, and you can't avoid flies, but they should not be on your food. I guess no one takes this food, and it is wasted. Easy to fix.
