As a repeat customer at Grand Chancellor Launceston everything was as expected ,very good ,,,, when it was time for bed we were very surprised as the bed was also host to a lot of ants ,, after some time later we relocated to another room this was a big inconvenience as I am a disabled person,,,, I thought this would have at least have been a very sorry apology from the management, but did not happen ,,quite disappointed,, ( 27 may. room no 1017 ,) thank for allowing me review my experience. maybe my next accommodation choice will have to be reconsidered. The city Park was close by and the QVMuseum not far by foot. I did not use the wifi as my security advised it was not safe! Our breakfast was not on our bill but I told the staff member we just had breakfast, so he added it. I appreciate it was busy. Loved the hotel.

We had a fabulous time in Launceston. We flew in from Melbourne and got a taxi to the hotel which was very reasonably priced. We then got the bus (pre-booked) to Hobart after our stay. Perfect location for our trip to cradle mountain. The hotel is a heritage hotel, which has been maintained and updated. Such lovely staff, service and such a high standard of cleanliness throughout.

Comfortable, old-style hotel in downtown Launceston with welcoming staff and clean, spacious rooms. The Avis desk in the foyer is convenient if you are picking-up a hire car from the city rather than the airport. The hotel was quite busy with a largish tour group the night of our stay. Space in the lounge area adjacent to the bar was consequently a bit limited until they went to dine.
