Lovely rural part of Devon, the hotel is set in its own well maintained grounds, which is excellent for dog walking, our room was clean and comfortable, as was the breakfast and dining area which were both well set out, with plenty of space to accommodate dogs. Food was great, varied and plentiful. All staff were polite, efficient, and attentive, which helped to create a pleasant and chilled atmosphere.”

“I had a really wonderful time staying here. The breakfast was very tasty, the garden was beautiful and I felt really looked after. I would definitely come back again! Only small issue was the parking. Luckily it is not busy so there is parking at the back but I can feel this might come to issue since it's a small car park and you dont want to park on the side of the road but tbh this is very minor and it's a bit nitpicking as I have really enjoyed my stay.”

“Our room was well maintained and we like staying in unique, historic properties. A bath in the nook in front of the window seemed a little strange. “This was our third visit to the Fisherman's Cot and the first time for an overnight stay. There is a good selection of food at reasonable prices and very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed in an annex which was OK but the outside fabric of the building is in need of renovation. Room was fine and clean, although bath panel was heavily water damaged. There is scope to improve decor (pictures on the wall for example) to give a more homely feel”
