The price was good for the location to shopping, restaurants, and MSU. There was also a bistro type place on site that served breakfast, lunch, sold Starbucks, and basics alcoholic beverages. Staff were very nice and friendly.

The hotel was understaffed. There was no personnel available for the Starbucks or bar. The staff that was on site were professional and polite and assisted, however, there was no notification on the website when i made my reservation. I stayed in room 152. I did not receive standard room attention (towels, bed made, etc.) for the lenth of my stay. The drain in the shower was very slow and verged on over flowing daily. I had to call the front desk for fresh towels. Closet door was off track and inoperable. The light at the desk was inoperable. This was not up to my expectations for a Marriot property. The Courtyard came to our rescue at midnight when the reservation at our original hotel couldn’t be honored because their housekeeping staff had forgotten to clean our room (they had six empty rooms, but they hadn’t been cleaned which prevented our being able to check-in). The Courtyard was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring we were able to get settled quickly and catch a few winks. Kudos to their night staff.. great people.

Stained bathtub was lethally slippery. The grab bar was installed on the wrong side so that you had to get in or out right under the shower head if you used it. Construction going on so things were noisy and messy. But customer service was good.
