Vacations Close To Lanikai Beach

It is a pleasure to share our experience at Stay Hotel Waikiki. What impressed us most was the outstanding customer service. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. When I requested an extra towel, they immediately provided more than one. Another time, I asked Sean at the front desk for hangers. Within five minutes, he called our room to check whether we had received them. When I said no, he contacted housekeeping again, and just four minutes later, the hangers arrived! His follow-up and attention to detail were truly impressive. The hotel also provided beach towels and a parasol, and even offered floaties for guests to borrow. We were welcomed with a lovely postcard in our room, another thoughtful touch. Kim was also very nice. I unfortunately didn't get the name of the staff member who helped us on the morning of our departure. Although we had checked out, we wanted to enjoy the beach. She kindly provided towels and a parasol and kept our luggage until we returned. There was one minor issue in our room, which we brought to their attention. They genuinely thanked us for letting them know. These small gestures make a big difference. Thank you to Sean, Kim, and the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We would happily recommend Stay Hotel Waikiki!

Great staff

I travel frequently for work and stay in hotels almost every weekend. I've never felt the need to write a negative hotel review before, but our 6 night stay at QP left us disappointed. We were in Hawaii to get married and hoped for a lovely stay. Instead, our room was tiny, dated and nothing like the online photos. There was rust, scratches and taped-up repairs in the bathroom, plus a huge, noisy old air conditioner that switched on and off all night. The advertised blackout blinds let in morning sunlight. Our original room (city view) faced another hotel, so within minutes of checking in we asked about upgrading to a better view. We paid an extra $20 USD per night for an ocean view room that was only slightly bigger. Days later, when I asked about somewhere to get changed for our wedding, Tiare at reception kindly offered us a larger room in the same category at no extra cost. We then noticed the city view and ocean view was advertised at the same price online, leaving us confused about the $120 upgrade charge. Tiare helped waive the remaining fees, although moving meant checking out at 11am and waiting until 3pm to check back in. Apart from Tiare, service felt reluctant. Even asking for wine or champagne glasses for our room resulted in tiny child cups, twice. We rarely ask for anything, but every request seemed difficult. The location, pool, restaurant, gym and downstairs coffee shop were lovely. Sadly, the dated rooms, noise and lack of hospitality overshadowed them.

Island Colony was a great place to stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with cookware, toiletries, towels, and even beach chairs and a backpack cooler. I loved the patio view and enjoyed relaxing out there. The pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and relaxing, and security felt solid. The only downside was parking -- the kiosk instructions are confusing, and you have to use separate elevators for the garage and rooms. Definitely ask staff for help the first time. I'd stay again, I truly enjoyed the room and its amenities. Very convenient location. Parking isn't the owners fault -- just something to be aware of. Parking is definitely cheaper if you go for the 5 days. $235/5 days vs $47/nightly. 4/5 Wonderful Room

Well centered to activities we did. It was good for 2 days. I loved being across from the ⛱️!
