We stayed in a 2nd Floor modern, spacious room with view of Santuario de Nossa Senhora. Hotel has Elevator. Includes nice, hearty breakfast. Large, comfortable bed. Quiet room, not hear neighbors. Swimming pool with bar. Close street parking, inexpensive and easy to find a spot. 3 minute walk to town rectangle. Short car drive to Regua and Pinhao.

The staff here, aside from the lovely man in the dining room for breakfast , were minimalist at best. The front desk staff were well below par. The hotel is pretty basic and the town itself doesn’t have a lot to offer - look elsewhere for a Douro experience unless you want to see the church stairs.

Parking is street parking and you need to walk 20 to 30 meters uphill to hotel entrance. Parking fee by machine from 9 am to 7 pm and only gives you 4 hours max at a time. Not convenient. Positve- lounge bar excellent. Food was very good. Port wine excellent.

The Chef went above and beyond coming to our table to explain how he created his dishes. The food was excellent. The front desk manager took time to come to our car and help us figure out how to pay the parking since it was all in Portuguese. Saved us!

Stayed at the Douro Castle Signature Hotel for 4 great nights. The Hotel is a lovely small boutique type style Hotel, right on the Castle wall and in the centre of Lamego. Very walkable to all sights and restaurants, bars and shops!! Lamego is right in the middle of the Douro and snnidesl base to see Pinhao, Peso de Ragua and others. There are over 45 Quintas within 15 miles of Lamego. River cruises from 1 hour to 1 / 3 and 5 / 7 days. Only 80 mins from Porto and very close to many other places. The breakfast , restaurant, service and staff, pool and bar lounge are superb for a small Hotel, excellent value!!

This is a nice boutique hotel in the center city of Lamaga. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't avail ourselves of the spa tub in the room but it is certainly a nice feature. The rooftop pool is inviting and there is an adjacent bar/lounge area. The restaurant features a varied menu and the food was tasty and well prepared. The morning breakfast buffet was generous and nicely presented. The hotel does not have a parking garage but there was plenty of nearby street parking when we arrived in the afternoon. There may be fewer close spots by the evening.

Love the hotel facilities. Boutique hotel feel with very nice decor. Daniel gave us great service at the bar and restaurant while we were there. The rooms need a bit of updating specially the bathrooms but they were very clean and comfortable. Beautiful view from the balcony.
