“My husband and I only stayed overnight but wished it had been longer. We were amazed how beautiful the gardens are and we made sure we walked round them and visited the castle before we left. We stayed in the Stable Courtyard and the room was excellent with all the facilities expected of a 5* hotel. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Thanks to all the staff who were helpful and professional.”

“Excellent breakfast. Don’t like sage in my sausage but was admonished by my family for grumbling about it. Apparently sage goes with pork. Fabulous friendly staff, lovely central hotel, clean comfortable rooms. Will return.”

“We didnt get to use the facilities propeas we got there late evening and left before breakfast. However, checking in was a pleasure. The room amazing, downstairs king size bed with 2 singles upstairs. Bathroom was lovely, pristine clean. ”

The host and hostess are lovely and their entire focus is on making their guests' stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. “Our stay at the Mount Edgcumbe was genuinely exceptional. My wife wasn’t feeling well during our visit, and the manager and staff showed such warmth and care — nothing was ever too much trouble. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out and made us feel completely looked after. The room was beautifully appointed, with everything we could need, and the bed was especially comfortable.
