Peaceful base close to Bok Tower.

New owner as of few weeks ago. Restoration work being done. Beautiful setting, Pecky cypress ceilings in main area. Wood floors with beautiful carpeting up stairways and through halls. Very clean. My room appeared to be recently painted. Very comfortable. Wi-fi iffy. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Continental breakfast. Apparently lightning strike on chimney has created some problems. Staff said that plans are to closed and complete repairs after June 17th. When that is done, this will be a lovely retreat/event venue. Rocking chairs on veranda overlook lake.

Nice but lacking

Sign in was nice. Walk up stairs to get to room. No light over sink in bathroom. No bedding for sofa bed. View was gorgeous. Breakfast was lacking. There was no butter. For toast. Place was quaint. Palmetto bug in bedroom. No internal lock on door. Place was clean.

Great location, beautiful! Service not so much.

Place was neat, beautiful lake views. Staff was nonexistent (except for check in). Breakfast was not great. No fruit, no muffins. The eggs sausage ham was barely warm and low quality.

I liked that it was historic, seeing as it was built in 1925. The only downside was the plethora of bugs and spiders in the room and bed, and dead insects( outside the room window). There was no one at the front desk to speak with to address concerns.

Beautiful kind and friendly staff. Grounds beautiful and serene, even the guest are friendly, possibly due to the total experience of comfort and relaxation. We would love to come, however due to our disability we can’t walk up the stairs and their isn’t even a lift. Unfortunately we were limited to our room.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Capernaum Lodge. We had a fabulous suite with living room and dining room. We could have stayed there for a long holiday. Unfortunately we were only there one night - our 56th wedding anniversary. We were met by a lovely lady at reception who looked after our needs perfectly. The house was very quiet that evening as there are not staff around, but that was fine. We met other interesting guests out side in the seating areas and at breakfast. I would recommend this place and would love to return some other time. It is very convenient for BOK Tower and Garden - which is magnificent.

Loved the old historic property. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great. A few basics would have been appreciated (ice machine...soda vending - although I realize that would detract from the ambiance, nonetheless, having to travel 20 minutes to the Publix for a couple of sodas was NOT convenient.

I have been here many times, a few with a group. WE LOVE IT. Such a unique place, the peace and beauty permeates everything. Sitting on the back porch in the rockers, looking at the lake you just melt into rest. We like getting a suite, saving on the cost of dinner and having space to enjoy. For us, it's all part of the fun of going to Bok Tower Gardens.

The lake view was wonderful. There was a full hot breakfast provided. Cozy environment. No staff after 5. No hair dryers or coffee in room. I’ll be back though!

The place was beautiful..the space was awesome...I saw the first morning a person behind the food for breakfast..which was ok but I had a room with a full kitchen and chose to eat there...and the next time I saw a person from the hotel was when I checked out 3 days later. I did not realize there was no smoking on the property until it was too late..so I took a little drive every morning with my coffee. Everything was just ok. The biggest issue was there was no hot water for a shower. I heated water on the stove for dishes. I probably wont stay there again.

The property is ok. The staff was pleasant. The hotel rooms are awkward at best. The price for the facilities is extremely disappointing. We had a great time in Lake Wales but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. $171 a night for what was reminiscent of a college dorm room. The lake view room I paid for was overlooking the second floor roof at some trees with the lake barely in view behind them. Holiday inn express was $150 (which seems pretty high for the location) but at least you know what you’re getting. We’ll visit LW again but won’t stay at lake lodge.

Very nice place ! The suite we stayed in was clean and property was by the lake. The only downside is staff is limited after 5pm. Also, no one was the front desk when I checked out the next day.
