The tub needed anti slip tape and grab bars. The inside of the room was not maintained by a person with professional skills. The attention to details was poor. The room was reasonably priced and in a great location for the town activities.

It's a no frills place to sleep and shower at a good price. Everything worked, and the room was clean.

For an older motor hotel, this one was in good shape. Clean, comfortable mattress and good water pressure in the shower. Air-conditioning worked great!

The Hico hotel is what you would expect for a $60 a night hotel. No bugs. Bed was comfortable. Hot water for a shower. Reasonably clean. The furniture was run down. The heat was ok. Overall the stay was ok.

Sorry to say, but the room’s cleanliness was below expectations; accumulated dust on coffee accessories that turned me away from enjoying that beverage. Made me wonder, what else in the room was unsanitary. Staff was courteous and accommodating.

Property was clean, quiet management was helpful and polite. Property was old and you could here the people talking in adjacent room. Lack of insulation I suppose.

Update needed

This hotel was very outdated. Needs new paint job outside and inside, new carpet and updated bathroom. The bed was very comfortable though. Staff was not unfriendly, but not friendly and outgoing. The price was very reasonable.

Okay for one night

It was about what we expected for the price, an older lodge trying to keep up with the times. The bed was clean and comfortable but the carpet needed cleaning and there was some hair in the bathroom on the sink, commode, tub and floor. A quick wipe down was needed. The A/C, mini fridge, and shower all worked well. Overall, I guess we got what we paid for.

The building was very old. Although it was clean, my round toilet had an elongated seat so it was kind of awkward to use. The chairs had stains. The cleaning ladies' supplies were stored outside the doors. The bedding appeared clean and fresh and the carpet appeared clean. Tub, commode and sink were clean. Nice and large refrigerator and microwave inside the room. The sink had no vanity space but a counter was right outside the bathroom door to place toiletries. It was cheap.to sleep there for the night!

Hico Inn Review

AC doesn’t get the room cold like it should do to using a window unit…gets little uncomfortable when trying sleep at night….i have strong order of Urine in my room…there is never any ice in the ice machine. Vending machine steals your money so don’t use it…takes your dollar bills but will NOT give change back…price is good . They just give you new towels no room cleaning …toilet paper tears your bottom up so bring your own soft toilet paper…area is nice and quiet

I was in the room for less than 10 hours. It was very helpful to find a place to stay as I drove home. I was quite tired, and booked the hotel at the last minute. It is an old school motel, but it met my most basic needs just fine.
