The Basecamp Hotel staff were all lovely and helpful. The hotel had the amemities of a hotel with the fun personal touches like a hostel. We enjoyed the common area with firepits, tvs, and happy hour.

Great bed, linens were nice, towels were fluffy. The staff was pleasant and helpful at each interaction. Had a great cup of coffee in the lobby for a very fair price. Had dinner across the street at Jake’s On The Lake, a Tahoe favorite!

Base camp is right in the middle of everything you need! All in walking distance! I have stayed in many hotels/motels and Base Camps noise level was zero! I absolutely recommend it!

The room was very clean, although the carpet is stained. —-I think all hotel rooms should not have carpet but some sort of hard floor for cleanliness. Convenient for walking to restaurants and biking the Truckee River. We will be back next summer.

I didn't care for the "tea bag style" of coffee in the room...in previous years they offered a complimentary breakfast with delicious coffee/tea, muffins, bagels, yogurt & a chat with the friendly staff. Our room needed serious light fixture maintenance & some of the white towels were dingy looking.
