The Basecamp Hotel staff were all lovely and helpful. The hotel had the amemities of a hotel with the fun personal touches like a hostel. We enjoyed the common area with firepits, tvs, and happy hour.

The room was very clean, although the carpet is stained. —-I think all hotel rooms should not have carpet but some sort of hard floor for cleanliness. Convenient for walking to restaurants and biking the Truckee River. We will be back next summer.

I loved everything about Base Camp! It’s right across from the lake, right in the heart of Tahoe City, and an easy 10 mins drive to Alpine Meadows. Rooms were spotless, quiet, and the staff fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet, safe, clean place to stay while in Tahoe.

Only stayed one night. I didn’t have enough time to really see the grounds due to the short stay and being tired from a day at the lake. The location was good walkable and just a short drive to kings beach. The complaint I have is that the shower head was terrible could barely wash the soap off your body.

A very nice little room to stay three nights in this beautiful area. You can walk in a few minutes to the lake. Parking in front of your room. There are several nice restaurants and especially Rosis Café where you get real good meals. Prices are ok.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this property. I was nervous from some older photos but they renovated this beautifully the room did have a slightly musty smell but it was clean and exactly what we needed for our road trip. The staff was nice but not overly friendly. Would love complimentary coffee in the morning though! My kids loved the games though. We’d come back for sure.

Cozy Adventure Motel with cool vibes

We had a great time at Basecamp! We love the adventure motel vibe, there is a warm & welcoming common area with a fire & coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Great location, very walkable to the restaurants, shops & cafe in Tahoe City. There's a little slice of Lake Tahoe from the parking lot (the weather was storming so not sure about the view from the top deck). Beds were comfy & rooms were cozy, it's a refurbished motel that's cozy and cute decor. We love these types of adventure motels with common areas so we'll be back!
