Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We only stayed one night, but the kitchen staff were fantastic when we checked in.
The rooms could do with a little updating to be ready for travelers with usb devices etc, etc. Overall great, dining was also great
Absolutely beautiful old Inn very near Mirror Lake
We felt we were stepping back in time but with all the modern amenities. Our room was beautiful, and the decor throughout the Inn was so nice. And their coffee in the morning was excellent.
We ate in their restaurant and the food and service were superb.
Such a beautiful and well cared for B & B. Comfortable, cool, clean, artistic and historic. Enjoyed my stay immensely. Favorite thing was I barely saw any staff there my entire stay. I think they purposely stay out of your way unless you need something. Awesome and unexpected.
Beautiful arts and crafts era home with inviting fire place in the front room, cozy bar, and comfortable, clean, charming guest rooms. Added bonus was the amazing dinner menu at the restaurant. Definitely will return here.
Nice place in a great little town. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice location, not all that far from the main row of shops etc., we were able to walk... Expensive to stay around town, it is what it is. A negative would be that we were still able to hear restaurant noise downstairs at 11, still able to pass out after a full day though.
Our stay at the Interlaken Inn was wonderful! Owner Casey and staff member Heather could not have been friendlier or more responsive to our requests and comfort. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we could want. Our room was beautiful and breakfast in the morning was much better than your typical continental offerings! We were even given a handwritten thank you note when we checked out! If you are in Lake Placid you should chose to stay at the Interlaken Inn! You won't be disappointed!!
Way overpriced. the service is very poor. the real issue that the place is a fire trap. It's an old wooden structure cut up into a warren of tight little hallways with no fire breaks or fire doors and only a singe path of egress in the event of fire, assuming you aren't going out the window.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We thought the property could have used some general maintenance. The windows did not close well to keep out the cold, as we were there in February. The doors did not close well but seemed secure. There was no extra toilet paper, no tissues unless we asked for them. There were not enough outets. The light on one of the sides of the bed was not able to be plugged in.
The bed was very good (king size). The food at the restaurant was exceptional. Staff was very good and friendly.

Ingen service, ikke pengene værd
Meget lille værelse på 3. sal. Ingen elevator.
Good location, less than a block from town. Nice to have onsite parking. Our plans did not allow us to dine in, but the restaurant appeared to be a popular spot. Mary the Inn keeper was very pleasant and helpful.
Just be really careful in the winter as they have white carpeting and you need to take your shoes off and put on outside the room. Really quiet before and after dinner and you will rarely see a soul or be bothered. Very nice restaurant and dinner on premises and Mary is observant and hospitable with your stay.

Wonderful staff
I really likeMary and her incredible staff- wonderful people. The room left some to be desired. It was the low point to a beautiful place
As my partner is very reluctant staying at an Inn, he was very pleased with the entire place! Mary, the Inn Keeper was super accommodating & upgraded us (Thank you again Mary). The room was quaint & the bathroom had a plethora of hot water which is always great! Unfortunately, we did not eat at the onsite restaurant but the menu looked very appealing! We did have a night-cap & scrumptious dessert at the beautiful copper bar! Will definitely be staying here again.
We were bumped up to the Carriage House because we booked for 5 nights and Mary, thought we wouldn’t be comfortable in the room that we booked. It was great! King size bed. Bath filled with luxury towels and 2 headed shower. Plus a kitchenette. 2 televisions one up one down. A gas fireplace (which unfortunately wasn’t working.) But we were cozy without it.
