The resort offers a quiet, relaxing escape with comfortable accommodations. The rooms appear to have been recently updated, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with a huge tube but a rather small shower. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc.
The downside of the room was poor lighting in the kitchen/dining room area, the living room was on the 2nd floor as you entered the accommodation and then descended the stairs to the kitchen/bedroom/bathroom.
Guests have access to both outdoor and indoor pools/hot tub, mini-golf, tennis and basketball courts. They also have a band stand, picnic tables and a boardwalk along Lake Lure. It is about a mile drive down the road to get to these amenities.
At the time of our visit, Lake Lure was closed due to the severe damage from Hurricane Helene. They were working on the lake but we could not get an opening date. Despite the devastation, it was still a beautiful area and we hope to return once it's back up and running.
The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to do. Again, due to the hurricane damage, a lot of businesses and attractions were closed in the area.
