  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Top of the World

This is a great place to stay at especially when the leaves are changing color in the fall. I'm so happy that we arrived early enough to talk a walk on the grounds. It is at the top of a large hill so the view is big. The room we stayed in was one of the smaller ones but the bed was comfortable which is my priority.

Absolutely amazing spot. Beautiful views of Lake George and he Adirondack mountains. The grounds and farmhouse are exquisitely. The food was prepared specifically for each person and given every detail to perfection. The host and hostess were very friendly and tended to our every need. Went there for our anniversary and can't wait to make it a yearly return.

Weekenders!

The hotel is an old farm house style perched on the top of a mountain. Breath taking view! Very clean and nicely decorated. Beds super comfy. Shared bathroom door locks a bit bizzare...Staff very freindly and accommodating. Nice golf course! Road to get there rather steep and curvy...but paved. Watch for deer...Otherwise Great!
