Good location. Cleaned rooms. Good bang for the buck. Travel was easy from the location. Breakfast menu was ok. Not too many options for continental breakfast. The hallways were a bit dark and floors were run down. Maintenance was a bit lacking but not too neglected. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Good location, about 10 minute walk to the center. The hotel is a maze it self, and the rooms aren't very big. But for us it worked out perfect because we knew we weren't going to spend much time at the hotel. So for breakfast and bed, it was a perfect location, and overall good.

The grounds and amenities were impressive. But the breakfast was excellent. We’ve traveled the world and can’t remember a better buffet assortment. There was a huge variety of breads, fruit, cereals and a yogurt bar, cheeses and meats, hot dishes and a juice selection that included champagne for mimosas!

Touring Portugal with my elderly mother is difficult with all the cobblestone roads but this hotel was kind enough to loan us a wheelchair to help make it easier for us to explore nearby places. Do not leave without doing one of the boat tours. The smaller the better to go into the caves!
