The room was great. Very clean and quite. The host was wonderful and very helpful. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had a nice shower. Would stay here again.
Elsa’s Place was wonderful. The room was nice and clean. The view was spectacular. The fire pit was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing! Elsa and Aida went above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay!
I LOVE staying at Elsa’s when I am fishing in the area. Have stayed there multiple times and the owners are awesome!! So accommodating and friendly. Fishermen if you’re looking for a place to stay when chasing reds stay here! Shrimp and grits and pumpkin muffins 5 ⭐️
Thank you again for another great stay!
I was absolutely overjoyed with this choice. The property is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast every morning was delicious and I’m a very picky eater. I have never loved a place more. The owners and staff were super friendly and amazing! They made sure I had everything I needed also gave me information about the surrounding area. I normally never get more than 4 hours of sleep a night. During my 4 night stay I got 8 hours or more and it was the greatest. I woke up every day refreshed and ready to sightsee. I can’t wait to visit again!
Amazing friendly and courteous staff. We were recieved with goodybags with water and freshly baked cookies and recomendation of things to do on and off the property. The room was clean with a great view. The property was absolutely amazing and I'm bummed my stay wasn't longer to take advantage of all the things that could be done there. Definitely planning another trip there. Oh and the breakfast was so delicious!!! Never had grits before and was never interested but they served shrimp and grits and let me just say it was one of the most delicious breakfasts my family and I have ever had!!! My son is a picky eater and he absolutely loved the shrimp and grits. They have a beautiful dinning lobby but because the morning was so beautiful and the weather was perfect they accommodated us to eat outside on the balcony. One thing to mention, my room didn't have internet due to some cables breaking but they had tried getting it repaired before we got there but the guy hadn't shown and they were more than happy to upgrade our room to even a nicer one. I chose to stay in my original room anyway because I was just enamored with the view.
Nestled in a quaint fishing town not too far south of downtown NOLA. This night was so enjoyable. I cannot say enough of the care shown us by Victoria and Antoine during our stay. And the breakfast exceeded our expectations! We have stayed in many true B&Bs through the years and this one stands out! Southern hospitality at it finest. One recommendation is to put a small sign directing which of the houses to check in from and/or instructions on the website of where to go. But that pales in the way of needs met. Thank you so much for reminding us that there are still many good people on our world :)
First time doing a bed and breakfast and Elsa’s Place did one hell of a job setting the bar high for any future B&B stay. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were amazing and the breakfast was solid.
I could live off the berry parfaits they made for breakfast.
I was a bit apprehensive about booking here since it was not in New Orleans proper but after the first night there I was positive the correct choice was made. I was able to enjoy my days off, had restful sleep and enjoy lovely views and evening breezes.
Will definitely book in future trips to the area.
This was an unexpected gem. Great grounds, privacy, outdoor space, and service. Room was first class - comfortable, spacious, and unique. We were getting up very early for fishing and our host got up before us and fixed a great breakfast just for us. This looks like it would be a perfect place for wedding parties looking for privacy and something a little away from the bustle of New Orleans but near enough to enjoy it if needed. Also 2 miles from marina.
Everything was nice. The customer service was the best part they were super nice and caring. The food was awesome. Only issue were the stairs and mosquitos.
We stayed here the night before a cruise and it ended up being one of the best parts of our week long vacation! From the minute we arrived until our departure we felt cared for on so many levels. Each person we encountered was genuine and humble. Breakfast was phenomenal! We talked about taking a tip back all the way from Montana just to spend more time at Elsa's place. Forever grateful for this family and the experience!!!
I had no idea what to really expect from a bed and breakfast in this area but it was honestly amazing. Everything has been redone and looks brand new. Very nice work. The staff was truly amazing. They treat you like family and will go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied. Homemade cookies around the clock, coffee always on hand, homemade breakfast, etc. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in this area.
We came back after 20 years to the same place we had our honeymoon. The new owners maintained the same quality and refined service.
They surprised us decorating our room with honeymoon candles and rose petals ... in the best room in front of the water.
They also surprised us with the same vintage china we had during our honeymoon—such a thoughtful and touching gesture.
We higly recommend this place for anyone who admires nature, quiet place, clean and elegant victorian style rooms, refine cuisine... an especially to anyone who wants to create their own special moments with loved ones, family, or friends.
This was an outstanding time for me and my husband.
Create your own moments of joy. I promiss you will be glad you did it.
You'll be definitely a five stars experience.
Congratulations.

Elsa’s Place gives fairytale vibes! I felt like I was a star in my own personal charming fairytale during my 2 day stay. From check-in to checkout Victoria, the host made our stay memorable. From the ambiance to decor Elsa’s Place pays close attention to details. The room was extremely comfortable and clean! The water pressure in the shower felt like heaven & I didn’t want to get out. The Magnolia Room #6 with the jacuzzi tub is perfect for a solo or couples trip. It also has a river view. This bed & breakfast didn’t miss! The breakfast Ms. Jessie prepared every morning was top tier and abundant. I definitely enjoyed the homemade pecan and maple syrup with my French toast, eggs, bacon & sausage with fresh fruit. Both days the breakfast was yummy! I appreciated the fact they ask if you have any food allergies and allow you to pick the service time. We had the choice of enjoying the food in their beautiful dining area or delivered to your room. The grounds are nice and picturesque. I got some nice photos for the gram! 😄 I will definitely be back when I visit New Orleans, hopefully I’ll get to experience the firepit next time and get a little fishing in. If I put oi
