The kind lady who checked us in late in the evening could not have been more helpful. But that's about where the good experience ended. When we got to our room the hallway outside was easily 90° and inside the room it was 95°. It took a good hour for the room to cool down to an acceptable point. As we were putting some things in our refrigerator some beetle-like bugs came running out from underneath the fridge. We killed them. We didn't see any more bugs fortunately. They advertised a breakfast but that's a stretch. They had cold cereal but not the hot meal that we get at most hotels we stay at these days. For the price I would have expected more. Disappointing, because super 8 seems to be a nice economical place to stay. This stay was very underwhelming.

The facility is quite old - could really use some updates. While the sheets were "clean" they had stains all over them. There was dirt in the corners of the floors, soda dripping down the wall dried by the garbage, hair in the shower......

It was an overall good stay. It was quiet. Easy access. No bed bugs. Comfy bed. Shower clean. Towels clean. Pleasant office personnel. Close to food. Offered fox news. Cold fridge. Decent water pressure. Hot water. Toilet flushed. Check out 11am. Offered shampoo soap.

Room was clean and comfortable however there was the lingering smell of smoke in the room. Usually my wife gets congested from it but she made out OK. Room A/C unit was noisy and we had to shut it completely off at 3 AM to get back to sleep. Otherwise all was fine.

Staff was wonderful, but...

Staff was great! The woman at the front desk switched our room to the first floor for us when she found my wife had a bad knee. The staff at the breakfast bar was very helpful as well. However the floor was filthy in our room, the bedspread was also dirty. The food at the breakfast bar was not very good either. there was a microwave that we could have used to heat our cold sausage and eggs, but there were only Styrofoam plates to heat it on. They are not microwave safe.
