A absolutely beautiful location right on the coast. The room was very clean and thoughtfully arranged. It was just my husband and I - the room wasn’t huge but seemed perfect for what we needed and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. We didn’t really use the kitchen but it was nice to have our own small kitchen with stove top. Breakfast was delicious with Belgium waffles, scrambled eggs, potato’s, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and more. This was a wonderful place to stay and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again. Thank you! An amazing start to our 30th wedding anniversary / 2nd honeymoon trip!!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. I stayed at an ocean view and it was beautiful. The bathroom was tiny. The staff were friendly and helpful. They took us to beach and pick us up (golf cart) Breakfast was basic but good to start the day. No pool or Jacuzzi . Didn’t like the balcony because you share with other guests. I prefer more privacy. Overall an older boutique style hotel in a great location. I’ll stay here again.

Very cute boutique hotel but historic. If you don’t go in hoping for the Ritz, I think you’ll fall in love with this little gem of an ocean side hotel. The room was large with a separate bedroom, living room and kitchenette and had the most spectacular ocean view. The property was well maintained, clean and walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, bars and great shopping. The lobby offered 24/7 complimentary beverages (sodas, waters and juices) and snacks. There is also a nice wine and beer selection for purchase. The complimentary breakfast (buffet) was well done. Staff was very friendly and helpful. In the building across from the lobby is a rooftop terrace that was perfect for sipping cocktails at sunset. The Pentai Inn is our new favorite spot in Downtown La Jolla. We look forward to going back!

Great place for our family to enjoy the Fourth of July! Booked two very spacious, ocean view rooms for our family. Beautiful location, steps from the ocean and Ellen Browning Scripps Park. We were able to enjoy the beach, walk to shops and restaurants on Girard, and walk to the Cove to view the drone show launched from La Jolla Shores as well as a few other fireworks shows. The included breakfast was delicious and fresh! Loved the rooftop area!
