I stayed in a shared room with 2 bunk beds, slept in one of the bottom. Room was clean, had AC which was wonderful, bathroom need it some maintenance but was useful. At the time of my stay, only one pool was in service. Staff was very helpful and kind. Very close to restaurants and places to ask for tours.

We were also surprised to be asked to move to the hotel next door for our second night and when we asked for the reason, we receive mixed messages. Not a overall pleasant experience

This hostel is located in the middle of the city of La Fortuna and is in a fair distance to most of the attractions and excursions. the managers and all who work at the facility are welcoming and super friendly. get ready for a super fun dance night and happy hour offered by the facility team. in addition, they can schedule tours for you for a cheaper rate. we had an excellent stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Arenal Poshpackers. Very well located, close to stores and restaurants. The common areas are very nice, with hammocks, and a pool. You can have your room cleaned everyday. You can cook your own meal in the kitchen. Very friendly staff, especially the maids. The room are nice and clean. The AC is a bit asthmatic though!

This was a great budget option in the middle of town in La Fortuna. No air conditioning but for the price we enjoyed our stay in this private room in a hostel style stay. The hammocks and pool were a great plus. We used the kitchen every day which was nice to have. The location is what really makes this a great place! It's in the center of town, in the middle of restaurants, bars, and markets. Easy driving to all of the activities near la Fortuna! Overall, great deal for the price!

Stay was paid in full to Expedia. Upon check-in, i was told by staff that Expedia did not pay the hotel the full amount and that i was liable for the balance which i had to pay on the spot. I felt i may have been victim of a scam. I await reimbursement from Expedia. Additionally, "maid service" was provided unaware to me while i was away from the room. No prior mention of this was offered, and it's not something i expect from a hostel type property. Without an in-room or on property safe, this intrusion could pose problems. Beware.
