Would definitely stay again. The staff were all great, there were many restaurants within a couple minute drive, and the beach was beautiful and quiet. Sand quality is not as good as some others, but there are dozens of beaches within 5-10 minutes or so. Rooms were spacious and as clean as you can really get on a tropical beach.

Absolutly tranquil place, the workers are very friendly, and its a hidden gem thats near the border of nicaragua. Bluest waters ive ever seen.

Staff was extremely helpful in all aspects of our stay. Rooms were comfortable and larger than expected. Restaurant made dining convenient and menu was varied. Only downside for us was the person staying on the floor above us was up and making a lot of noise in the middle of the night and you could hear them walking back and forth at 1 am. We would definitely return but ask for a second floor room to avoid that happening again!

This resort is an absolute hidden gem! My husband wanted an authentic cultural experience, and I wanted to lay in a lounge chair by the beach/pool. My kids are teens, and wanted lots of activities. Nandel checked all the boxes for us. The staff felt like friends by the time we left. Our kids even insisted on taking pictures with them to remember them by. The facilities were clean and well maintained. It is a windy area, but when it's 90 degrees every day, that feels really good. The area specializes in kite surfing, but there are many other beautiful beaches within short distance as well. The food was a mix of local and international cuisine, and the breakfasts were our favorite! I am a runner, and went running on roads around/adjacent to the property, and never felt unsafe. I can't recommend this place enough for someone that wants an authentic Central American experience.

"What are we going to do when you're gone?" This is what manager Ruiz said to us before leaving. Management and staff treated us like long-time friends! I'm cherishing that Costa Rica vibe after our 2 week stay with Nandel Beach Resort near La Cruz. Every morning & evening walk on the beach was a new experience surrounded by nature. In between, we had pool time, more nature walks exploring the area and taking kiteboarding for the first time. Thank you!

Better than the $600+ resort down the road!!

We had a split trip between here and an all inclusive down the road, and every one of us (5) agreed this resort was way better! I will admit I was hesitant by the lack of information on their website, but the restaurant was delicious, the drinks were great, the rooms were beautiful, and the resort overall is very relaxing. Sure this isn't a party resort with activities, but this place is great to just relax by the pool or on the beach (which never has more than 1-3 people on it). Our only complaints were the beds in our room were hard (but my parents said their room had very soft beds) and that ants/bugs would come into the room at night. We just sprayed bug spray along the underside of the door to the room and it was fine.

Nice rooms, we only missed a refrigerator, breakfast was okay. Not the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica and we were in the windy season. And it was very, very windy. Other beaches w/o wind you can reach by car in 10 minutes. Restaurants are also close by.
