What an amazing hotel! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were very unique, and so spacious! The amenities were genuinely exceptional. And the bed in our room was so, so comfortable! Definitely recommend this hotel highly

One of the best hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful, they provided us 3 free breakfast meals for the time we were there! The room itself was super unique and that made the stay even more fun! Highly recommend!

This boutique hotel is so unique and amazing! We were in the semi suite on the 3rd floor (orange & blue decor). It was so comfortable and relaxing. Location is fabulous. The served breakfast was delicious. The staff were very attentive and any language challenges were overcome with translate apps/chat. The mini bar and all toiletries provided were thoughtful and appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!!

The hotel was beyond my expectations. It was easy to grab Ubers or taxis. Lots of great places to eat within the vicinity. The staff was incredibly helpful and the room was very large. The bed was super comfy though the pillows could be more firm. Outside of that, I would gladly recommend this spot for their staff and rooms. There’s a nice restaurant located in the hotel but didn’t visit due to time.

Designer hotel close to imperial palace grounds, a short walk to public transport. Huge individually designed rooms, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Last minute booking so good value. Breakfast was good, either Japanese or a Japanese take on Western. Smart TV a welcome boon, not commonly found in Japanese hotels. Can recommend at discounted price but not at list price.

Beautifully designed hotel with interiors that vary in each room. Conveniently located by the metro and by cute antique shops and near the imperial garden. Staff were very helpful and provided vegan breakfast option every morning. Recommend !!

Beautiful hotel located directly across from the National Garden, in a very peaceful part of town. The Design room was gorgeous and spacious and had a lovely view of a series of shrines across the street. Reception was wonderful and allowed me to check in to my room very early, were very welcoming, professional and provided great service - thank you again for the great stay!

Unique property, that’s what I liked the most. It was on a very quiet street that felt more local than other hotels. We traveled in a group and each one of us had a very different style of room all done by different designers and architects our room was suited perfectly for us it was done in soothing colours, decor and layout. Our room exactly what we wanted to come back to after long days in Kyoto. We opted for the breakfast at the hotel, it was absolutely delicious. They had the option of western or Japanese style we tried both. Either option was delicious and the presentation was beautiful the staff were so attentive. The front desk staff were always pleasant and helpful. It was such a wonderful experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Screen Hotel. The hotel has a unique character and atmosphere that made our visit memorable. We especially loved the restaurant—the dinner was truly outstanding and worthy of a five-star rating. The food, presentation, and service were all exceptional. Interesting hotel and our room was astounding (we stayed in 102). Breakfast was a choice of Japanese or Western style, different every day and served on a large wooden platter. The hotel is opposite the Imperial Palace Gardens, we'll situated for busses into the city center or the subway for trips further afield. The staff were helpful and friendly but we didn't see many of them. The hotel has a strange layout, you enter at street level into a huge atrium and there's a desk but nobody was ever at it - you had to go down the stairs to another desk - and this wasn't always staffed so most of the time we just went in and out without encountering anyone. The hotel advertises a bar but forget about having a relaxing drink on the roof terrace when you get back at the end of the day - the bar was never open.

Situated in a beautiful and quieter part of Kyoto but well connected to the main sites, bus stop nearby and subways within reasonable walking distance. Rooms was super spacious and staff were very friendly and helpful throughout! Amazing hotel! It was way above our expectations, the rooms are very large and super comfy. The hotel gives a super relaxed vibe, and everyone from the hotel staff is super lovely, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance from most attractions in Kyoto, and within ~20-30min public transport from the train station and further attractions. Can’t recommend enough!

Breakfast was decent as it was included, just wish you were able to choose what you’d like versus the set menu provided (for example ask me how I would like my eggs) Location is perfect, 10 minute walk from subway stations, Starbucks, and shopping areas.
