This hotel is located right next to the old town. The room was quiet and very clean. Free coffee, soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch to begin your day. The onsen was absolutely fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay!

What makes this hotel special is how amazing the staff is. From check-in to check-out, I am very much impressed how accomodating, kind and helpful they are. They always have smiles on their faces and always willing to help out. The hotel is located strategically to all the tourist spots. The amenities especially the onsen is great! We love this Japanese themed hotel. The location is cental and the level of services we have received were fantastic. We would select this hotel if we come to Kyoto again in the future. The hot spring with the rooftop view is also a highlight for the stay.It is an amazing experience.

Absolutely loved this place. The awesome friendly staff, the beautiful room, the comfy bed, the location, and the onsen. They alternate the onsen and when it's your turn for the night time view it's amazing! Also has a roof top bar to enjoy the view even more. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This is our second stay as we stayed in the same room as we did last summer, coincidence but interesting how they assign rooms. Location is great to walk to everywhere, and take subways, taxis are just outside by the entrance all the time. Room is tiny but has everything. Tickets for one free drink daily per person but it is always busy on the rooftop. We used once, breakfast is authentic Japanese style.

This was one of our first hotels in our visit to Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. It was incredible and felt like a luxury boutique hotel from the moment we arrived. The location is superb and the amenities are incredible. We were truly spoiled, and felt let down by all of the other properties we stayed at after this one. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel in the center of the popular area. Room is small but the design make it feel comfort. Minutes to walk into the main shopping spot and famous river side. Public baths are good and 1 of the baths have a spectacular view over the Kawaramachi. But the bad thing is no onsite parking and the partner-parking slot need 5 minute walk.

There are a lot of shops nearby, all within walking distance. Nishiki market is about 5 minute walk from hotel. Several train stations near hotel. The onsen was fabulous, especially after hours of walking, taking in sights. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Kyoto. It will definitely be where I stay when I return.

An amazing blend of modern with Japanese decor. Well appointed rooms with comfortable bed, amazing overhead rain shower, and decent square footage for luggage. Perfect location for shopping, Nishiki market, fabulous restaurants, etc. all walkable. The Bettei side is higher end with more in room and property amenities. I highly recommend this hotel.
