The futons were very comfy and the hotel is perfectly located in the center of a shopping area and just across the street from the trainstation. An excellent place to stay when coming from Tokyo to Kyoto! The breakfast was very traditional as well and the hotel provided yukatas for guests to wear, as well as an onsen.

Wonderful stay overall—this hotel comes highly recommended. The room was very clean and spacious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Very clean, Staff are very nice and helpful. Close to Kyoto station which is convenient (6min walk). If you are tired but still want to explore, its close to shopping/dining areas like Yodobashi Camera, Restaurants, coffee shops anf Kyoto tower. The japanese inn experience was good.

The property is within easy walking distance to Kyoto Station for quick access to JR Railway, Shinkansen, and local Kyoto transit, offering travel options to many of Kyoto’s historical sites including Nara, an easy day trip. The location, just one block from Kyoto Central Station, is exceptionally convenient. The hotel is immaculately clean. While the staff’s English knowledge is somewhat limited, their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to assist more than compensate, resulting in truly outstanding service. The highlights of our stay were the traditional Japanese breakfast and the experience of sleeping on tatami, both of which added a memorable touch to our stay. Conveniently located eight minute walk from the train station. Hotel is close to amenities and other transports to get you around Kyoto. Japanese style breakfast was very good and the stuff is very friendly. They also have a large communal bath, and you can also rent out a private bath.

Excellent service! Welcome tea provided with small snack. We used luggage forwarding and they brought our luggage to our room (without any prompting). Very courteous service. Several onsens including an onsen that allows tattoos. (You can also pay for a private onsen). Please try the food! You will be so full and satisfied. Please note that you do NOT wear shoes in the dining area.

Fantastic stay at this Ryokan. Public bathhouse, only to hotel guests and both times I went I was alone, so it felt very private. Option to also have a private onset session. The Japanese dinner was amazing and possibility to accommodate to a certain point if you are not a fish eater. They change your bedroom to the futon around 6.30pm and offer tea service in the afternoon and coffee in the morning in the lobby. Location is very good with only 5-10 minutes walk from the train station. Highly recommend to have the experience of traditional Japanese living.

Great location, excellent staff, very close to station, shops and restaurants. Would recommend a western bed rather than sleeping traditional style on the floor but that was totally our choice. Bath facilities downstairs are great and can book private couples baths. View was poor and aircons for building next door noisy through closed windows.

Room was spotless, amenities were wonderful. The rooms are big enough for large suitcases which we greatly appreciated! It is conveniently located just a few blocks from the main station. A bit further away from main turist attractions but transportation is pretty accesible. Having a few extra pillows would've been nice as we were provided with just one small one, but we understand this was a traditional ryokan. The onsen was also super nice and they have a tattoo friendly onsen.
