We stayed at this hotel for four nights, and the location is truly impeccable. The rooms and cleanliness were also quite reasonable for our stay. However, the experience was significantly marred by the incredibly impolite attitude of a male front desk staff member (short hair, wearing a grey suit). It was, unfortunately, the most unpleasant service experience we have ever had in Japan. While we were waiting in the lobby with our luggage, he made eye contact with us but remained completely indifferent, offering no initiative to help. The situation worsened when we discussed the "Airporter" delivery service. Without clarifying the destination, he assumed we were sending bags to the airport and prepared a slip. When I explained that we needed a hotel-to-hotel transfer, he reacted with visible aggression—tearing up the paper and tossing it away right in front of me with an extremely annoyed and impatient expression. While he did not say it out loud, his facial expressions and dramatic gestures made it very clear that he felt I was wasting his time. This level of visible hostility is something we have never encountered in all our trips to Japan. It is a shame because the other front desk staff were wonderful, patient, and polite, but this one individual’s behavior was completely unacceptable.
