I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It had all the modern conveniences and also a laundry room that you could monitor on your TV. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. When they say light breakfast they mean it…good but light. We walked everywhere and would highly recommend this hotel.

We had an incredible time at the Prince Smart Inn Kyoto Sanjo. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was peaceful and perfectly located for walking and cycling. It's close to the city but feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Amazing, authentic restaurants are within walking distance, and the night market is around the corner. It's the perfect hotel to stay in while in Kyoto.

Excellent, convenient place to stay. Property is about 5 years old, so modern, industrial vibe. On the east side of Kyoto, less than 5 minutes from shopping arcades, restaurants, temples, many attractions. The Staff is Excellent! Most speak English very well and all were very, very helpful. Above and beyond the call of duty. Everything from helping with storage lockers, to calling a cab for you. The only minus may be that there are no bathtubs in the rooms, but they try to make up for that with fancy showers. Raindrop shower heads, full body jets, but for me, nothing like a nice soak after walking all day. Will definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect!! The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the shower awesome!!! At checkout we were able to lock our luggage in a locker, when for a small visit to the shrine and came back to pick up our luggage and go to the station. Staff is super friendly and the hotel have a great location. Highly recommended!

Everything was great. Check in was on a machine which was easy and so was check out. Staff was helpful. Only issues we have was there was no change machine for the coin laundry so we had to go buy things at the 7-11 to get 100 yen coins for it. Not a big issue but it would be nice if there installed a change machine.

Very clean and spacious! Loved the shower - amazing water pressure and had lots of settings. Location was great - walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The only negative was the washing/drying machine. The dryer did not work well as our clothes were still damp after 2 drying cycles. Since there were only a few machines with other people waiting, we couldn’t continue drying our clothes and had to bring them to a nearby laundromat. Other than that, we had a great stay here!
