The hotel has a modern feel, friendly staff, coin washing machine and dryer; and essential toiletries that made our stay far more pleasant. The room is tiny, but ok for a few days. One disappointing part is that they don’t provide luggage delivery service (takkyubin). It’s within walking distance to a train station or bus stops.

The hotel is nice, but the staff must improve the job. I worked as hotel receptionist for a long time and seeing people don’t welcoming you and don’t say neither good morning or making a smile is really bad. Apart Sakamoto san, very nice and kind person whi speak a good English, the other staff was not good. Not satisfied at all.

綺麗に清掃されていて清潔でした。フロントスタッフの方は感じが良かったです。コップが客室にないと一声欲しかったです。アメニティの案内がなかったので必要なものだけ取りました。まさか部屋にコップがないとは思わず取らなかったので不便でした。一声欲しかったです。

Great hotel, really clean.

Kyoto is a lovely city and the hotel is just as good, even though is a little far from the station, is close from Subway station and a bunch of bus line, which is the main way to get around the city. The staff is great and really helpful, the room is not small and fits great. Would definitely stay there again.

Non è compresa la pulizia giornaliera che secondo me in un hotel è d’obbligo! Sennò sarebbe un appartamento.. inoltre non è ben specificata questa clausola! Nella struttura c’eravamo solo noi finchè l’ultimo giorno sono arrivati altri ospiti di cui hanno dato priorità sulla lavanderia anche se anche noi come ospiti avevamo il diritto di usarlo quanto loro, ancor più visto che l’avevamo occupata prima noi, siamo stati intimati di liberarla.

Pleasant Stay in Kyoto

It's a pleasant stay in this hotel. The quality of toiletries was good. Staff are friendly but don't speak very well English. Free laundry, local and international calls are very useful. No keys to room as it's quite high tech to use codes to get in and out of the hotel and your room. The M's Information Centre is great. Free pick up and excursions available. Do need to book them in advance. Staff at the Information Centre are brilliant, very helpful. I shall use this chain hotel again. The Chinese domestic lady was extremely helpful. Location of the hotel is good but you need to research how to find it as it is at the back street but you can see it on the main road. You do need to have your mobile phone available to pick up the access code on the day of your check in. The Information Centre has a demo of check in and check out - it is quite easy. I have experienced staff manning the reception at different hours, which was useful.

Best bang for your Yen

Amazing! Very friendly and polite staff there. Our stay was so good we booked a couple extra days there. Everything inside was newly updated so it is a very clean place. Best bang for your Yen in Kyoto!

The worst hotel and customer service ever!!!

This place is hard to find because it doesn't have the sign upper the building; it is hardly to find the logo in front the front door either. The staffs don't know English and being mean to the customers. My friend went to borrow the blanket from the staff room, they just didn't know and give my friend blanket with the women's "red" blanket! However, the door lock is unbelievable annoying.Every time, the numbers place in random places, and make it harder to put in the password. When I check in, I spent 2 hours and waited for the staff to come help. When I call the customer service, the girl just didn't know English and asked my name multiple times! That's okay, but her attitude is unbearable rude! Whatever, I am not going back again anymore. Anastasia
