Excellent hotel. Staff are very friendly, helpful and reapectful. The room is very clean, comfortable. Location is extremely convenient. They even hosted a calligraphy class which my family enjoyed a lot. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Kyoto.

The room was very nice, they were able to use the available space very well without feeling cramped. Was perfect for our family which had 3 Adults & 1 Junior/Teen, in a room with a bunk & 2 Single beds. The bathroom was very nice and clean and the amenities were very good quality. The laundry facility was kept very clean and the staff were amazing, very kind & helpful. Would recommend this accommodation. It is also in a very convenient location near the main Train station if you were doing a few different things around Kyoto.

Clean room, welcoming staff, 2 minutes walk to Kyoto station, very walkable to shopping and dining. There was a confusion around the listing since it inferred 6 people can stay in the room but we got a room with 4 beds and required additional payment at the property to have our son stay in the room. Very strict about check-out timing, we had to pay additional $ for extending checkout by 1 hour. No iron in the room. Other than that, wonderful experience in Kyoto and this hotel being next to Kyoto station made commuting so much easier!

The room is clean and spacious enough for us. The location is the best right next to the Kyoto station makes every day outings so much more convenient. The restaurants and shopping at the train station is way more than enough to explore. I this Mimaru is my favorite of all time in JP.

Brilliant location, just a 1-minute walk from Kyoto Station, which made getting around (and arriving with luggage) a breeze. The staff were extremely friendly and informative, and always happy to help. The room was big by Japanese standards, ideal for our family of 4, including two teenage boys. The shower had great pressure, and the deep bath was a lovely way to unwind after long days of sightseeing. The facilities were a highlight. There's a laundry on the ground floor, costing about $4 AUD per wash and $2 AUD per dry (unheard of prices back in Australia!). The room also had a great-sized fridge, a microwave, all the utensils you'd need, and a few hooks around the room for hanging bags. My only gripe is that the bed was a bit hard and the pillows weren't very supportive, though I'm starting to think that's the norm across Japan. All in all, we were very happy and would easily stay here again!

The experience of living in the hotel was great, despite they had an hot-water outage issue, options and recommendations were well communicated, ended up everything went quite well and smoothly. We loved our stay at this hotel and found it a great base to explore Kyoto with our two children. Rooms were perfect for a family of 4, clean and well equipped. Great view of the shinkansens out the window, lovely friendly staff and super easy access to the station.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru. The Kyoto Station location was a short walking distance from the train station. Mitsu at the front desk was super helpful. The staff all spoke great English. The beds were on the firm side if that is something you prefer.
