This is where I went after checking out early from my other hostel. Got a private room with shared showers and bathroom but everything was very well cleaned and maintained. No issues with water temperatures and other guests respected the noise levels after hours. Would stay here again for sure.

It was wonderful. Great location, close to peaceful temples and to the river walk. Friendly people working there and I appreciate how quiet it was there. My room had a table, so I could write and draw comfortably. They also have a robotic bath, which is really cool, I admire it. Thank you

Great as a solo traveller

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here as a solo traveller, and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Kyoto. The beds are very comfy and the bedrooms, bathrooms, and common area are very clean. The place has a really good vibe and in a convenient location for public transport and food.

Very well organized, everyone was friendly, loved the no shoes policy and provided slippers!, the communal living room space with tables and couches to relax on, the large kitchen and refrigerator to access, and the rooms/beds were great too. Very easy to find, close to metro and bus routes, near the river too which is so pretty! Would stay again!
