I stayed at this hotel 10 years ago when it had just opened. It is in a great location for public transport and walking distance to a lot of restaurants and temples. Rooms are quite generously sized for kyoto as well. My only complaint is it looks like it needs a refresh as it's a little tired, doesn't look like it has been updated since I stayed there 10 years ago. Also the nicer Japanese garden has been removed from 10 years ago and the Japanese restaurant downstairs overlooking that garden which is also very disappointing.

We had an amazing stay at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto! The location is perfect, and the staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful.
