Room was extremely hot, no control over temperature in the rooms. Signs not to open the windows. If you do open the window to cool off you will be listening to traffic all night. This is our second time staying at Hotel Gimmond in Kyoto. It is a great hotel with clean, comfortable but small rooms. The hotel is close to the subway station and to restaurants and shops. And is a 15 min walk away from the Imperial Palace.

An older hotel in a great location, not exactly right in the middle of things but an easy walk to Karasuma, Kawaramachi, Ponto-cho and the riverside. My single room was small but comfortable and the bath was new and clean. Especially given the reasonable price I have no complaints.
