Ace Hotel is away from the very touristy and busy center of Kyoto, yet is had a lot of restaurants and shops around it. If you are a good walker, you can walk to Kyoto Station, Nishiki Market and even the Imperial Palace. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is quite large and comfortable. There is a Stumptown Café downstairs.
