Guests must arrange roundtrip transfers (surcharge) from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Male to the property, which is approximately 25-minutes via seaplane or 90-minutes via speedboat. To guarantee transfers, guests must contact the property with their flight details and preferred mode of transfer at least 72 hours before their expected arrival. Otherwise, the property will arrange seaplane transfers by default. Please note that only 1 roundtrip mode of transfer can be booked.
Seaplane Option: Daily seaplane transfer service (surcharge) from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Male is scheduled between 6 AM and 3:30 PM. Guests arriving after hours are advised to book a local hotel room in Male before joining the first available transfers for the next day. Luggage in excess of 44 pounds (20 kilograms) person may incur a fee, payable to the seaplane company during flight check-in. Guests must pay the seaplane fee at check-in. There is no transfer fee for infants age 2 and younger who are sitting on the lap of the parent (no seat to be provided and no baggage allowance entitlement).
Speedboat Option: Speedboat transfers (surcharge) to and from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Male are available 3 times per day. Guests may have to wait at the airport upon arrival for the next available transfer. When arriving at the airport, guests should proceed to counter number 5 for speedboat services. Speedboat departures from Male to the property take place as follows:10:30 AM for flights that arrive 6-10 AM; 2 PM for flights that arrive 10 AM-1:30 PM; and 4:30 PM for flights that arrive 1:30-3:30 PM. Guests arriving in Male after 4 PM are advised to book a local hotel room in Male, and transfer will be arranged for the next day. Speedboat departures from the property to the airport take place as follows: 6 AM for flights departing 9 AM to noon; 9 AM for flights departing 12:30-5:30 PM; 2:30 PM for flights departing after 5:30 PM.
Please note: The Department of Immigration and Emigration of Maldives does not accept non-machine readable passports or hand-written passports.

After a horrific speed boat transfer from Malé to Kuramathi in storm conditions and rough seas in a small boat the rest of the visit was wonderful. We had a water villa with a pool which was sparkling clean. We were AI and the buffet meals were so delicious we never even tried any a la carte dining. Scuba and snorkeling was magnificent the diving center professional were so very kind and aquatic team for snorkeling made sure we saw plenty of turtles on our snorkel trip. Staff were so accommodating and friendly, we felt completely at ease. Thank you Kuramathi for a memorable trip.

My wife and I had a great time at Kuramathi, we all had an unforgettable experience esp given it was to one of our first resorts. There was a lot to do which we didnt do, lol. We had enough time to walk around, go at the beach, go at the pools and have juices and food on the fly. That was enough to keep us occupied during the day and the jacuzzi in the room was enough to keep us occupied during the night after a long day of activities. Definitely would recommend.

The resort is beautiful overall. I liked the sand bar. It is an awesome location to snorkel. My sons loved the soccer field and played there at 4-6 pm everyday that we were there. The staffs were friendly and helpful, especially the buffet dining at Faravalhu buffet and Laguna bar. We had a blast there at Kuramathi. We went diving twice and loved it. The food at the buffet was decent. We tried to book at the Reef restaurant while we were there but it was all booked. That was the only restaurant we wanted to eat at other than the buffet. We had an all inclusive plan.

Could be better

The over water villa was amazing in terms of view, condition and size. Other than that the rest of the aspects were quite disappointing! Staff is not friendly and a but ignorant to requests/complaints. Food is not bad below the standard compared to other Maldives resorts. Spa experience was totally a waste of money. We went for our honeymoon and resort failed to create or provide anything special for us as honeymooners.

The resort was nice, but honestly, we expected more. We stayed at Over the Ocean water villa, from where the view was amazing. But … the porch was not maintained well and part of the wood/thorn entered in my foot for which I needed to go to the hospital (to be fair they didn't make me pay the bill). Also, even though the view is amazing, The water near the water villas is dirty and full of soap, so you can't really enjoy it or enter directly (if not at 6 am). There was a big reef for snorkelling but the paths were not maintained well and almost every time you needed to step on a coral to arrive in the deep. Another thing that we really didn't like is that in our all-inclusive package, it was written that everything in the minibar is included, but when we arrived there only soft drinks were free in the minibar and there is a crazy system that they didn't replenish automatically the minimar but you have to order the drinks every time. Snacks are also not included in the all-inclusive package. On the other hand, the island is big and you have a lot to do even if it's raining.
