I loved our stay at Hotel Libertas. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself were very clean with a beautiful outdoor area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kotor.

A wonderful relaxing stay in a fantastic location. Staff could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. Although a little further out from Kotor the hotel provided a welcome break from the hustle and heat of the old town. Breakfast spread was very varied and lovely to try some of the local specialities. Would thoroughly recommend this place for a charming and restful holiday.

Fab boutique hotel near Kotor

Fabulous boutique hotel. Less than 10 mins by taxi from Kotor. Staff are super helpful and very committed to delivering a great experience for guests. Really can't fault it and will return again.

A truly beautiful, boutique hotel. The service we received was incredibly friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants nearby, however it's only a short taxi ride into Kotor old town. We only stayed for 1 night and I wish we'd stayed for longer!

Good pick for Kotor. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff with brand new looking hotel. Only complain I have is the breakfast choices. They have an enclosed garage for parking, place is easy to access from Kotor. Good restaurant choices nearby.

Gorgeous little hotel, really lovely spacious rooms with stunning views. The pool area and jetty with sunbeds are gorgeous. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Around 50-60 min walk to the old town, there are no pavements but the road wasn't too busy so it wasn't a problem for us. The breakfast was ok, probably better if you eat meat - buffet style with meats, cheeses, cakes and some hot food, could have done with more fresh fruit and less cake. The only downside was that in October they had turned the aircon to heating only, even though the rooms were 26°C, so it was too hot for sleeping for me, but this probably isn't an issue in the summer.

We stayed for two nights between August 14-16. The hotel is simply perfect. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast is quite sufficient. Ms. Natasha at the reception is very kind and helpful. She helped us with everything. There is a small beach in front of the hotel. Here you can both relax and order your drinks from the bar while enjoying the sun. You can reach the center of Kotor in 7-8 minutes by car, 35-45 minutes on foot, 15 minutes by Bluebus (not frequent). It is a great hotel for those who are tired of the crowds in the old town area and want to relax. Many thanks to the lady who prepared breakfast and the bartender friend. If we come back here again, we will definitely stay here.

The property was promised as a 300 year old chateau, however, when one thinks of a chateau, one doesn’t imagine broken A/C and heating or a tidal wave on windy and rainy off season days. Not only did we have to leave the property as we weren’t comfortable or felt safe, but the manager refused to provide a refund based upon the weather conditions and impact only to this hotel.

Worst hotel we have stayed at.

Do not be decieved by the hotel photos, as we were. The property is directly on the road with a speed bump at each end. The result is that the bedrooms are noisy all night long as cars slow down, bump over, and then accelerate. No sleep at all. We booked 3 nights but had to leave after 1 night of no sleep. We did not get any refund. Beach area was very small and bottom steps into the water very slippery with green algea.

This property is beyond phenomenal. Fabulously decorated. New, clean great location with spectacular view. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We arrived too early for check-in so we parked our car underground and left the key with them as requested. We proceeded to do sightseeing and when we returned we were shown to our room where our bags had already been brought up from our car. It is located a bit away from the old town on the other side of the bay which is an 8€ taxi to the old town. I recommend leaving your car and taking the taxi or you can walk which is about 35 minutes. This side has a spectacular view of the mountains and we had a sea view room which was worth it. Hotel has a beautiful private sunbathing dock for tanning and swimming as well as a pool on top. We could see the cruise ships pass right by our room. Breakfast in the morning was beautiful and had everything we need. I rate it 10 out of 10 and highly recommend.

I strongly recommend staying in Hotel Libertas. Everything is meticulously maintained from hotel amenities, service to the interiors! The view from the window is just breathtaking, something worth dying for. The staff is very professional and helpful. The breakfast is homemade of authenticity and sincerity by a very nice local lady. Personally, I feel like living in a castle and being treated as a queen. The building has a history of 300 years old but it was recently renovated in absolutely beautiful and artistic fashion with the touch of locality and characters. I would say this is above 5 star rating and more like a high end boutique hotel. The only potential drawback is that the hotel is situated on the other side of the bay, which is opposite to the old town. However, getting a taxi for a less than 10 mins ride (5-7 euros) to the old town is a perfect solution for it. It remains the advantage of being private, quite, peaceful and also not inconvenient. The hotel was the highlight of my visit to Kotor.
