The property is good for people who love the nature and wild. The noise of the frogs is loud and if you can’t handle noise at night do not stay here. The shower was outside with no door and the bathrooms are also outside but you can’t flush you have to use dirt.

This place is really nice! Solo traveler and felt really safe. Place is very clean and has a really nice view of the ocean.

This place made our 5 year anniversary the most special trip ever. This was our 3rd time to Hawaii but first to Big. The staff was always helpful regarding resort or local activities and was always really friendly. They did some special stuff for us to make us feel even more welcome and to celebrate our anniversary. The resort felt very clean and they cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels several times a day. Browns and Hale Kai were particular standouts while the other restaurants offered some nice views. It’s a short 40 min to Kona, close to Waikoloa resort and village, close to Waimea and Hāwī. All in all, I don’t think I would consider staying anywhere else on Big.

Room came no A/C I had to go out and purchase a fan. The owner are extremely nice but the place itself needs some TLC and some upgrades

This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Everything is so clean. The kitchen has everything you need. We stay there every year!
