So, yes, this is very expensive for a hostel. Approx £40 per night for a dorm room. However, I cannot fault the facilities. The rooms, the lockers, the showers, the staff, the two pools, the bar area, direct access to the beach and sea. Bar is too expensive though. Had a great stay.

Know before you book: This is both a hostel and a hotel geared towards young singles with a focus on the social aspect. I stayed in a private room. Very spacious, clean, and a decent view of the pool and ocean. Convenient access to the beach, shopping, and dining. On site bar and restaurant - which can be a bit loud at night, but again, Lub d is focused on the social aspect.

Great place to hang out

There are organized activities everyday for those who want it, and there is a social atmosphere, but's its also very chill and quiet. Great beach access with a beach nightclub not far away.

Hostel was good, kept clean. Decent breakfast for the price. They have loungers on the beach but note they play loud music in the afternoon, so do the beach clubs either side so you hear 2 loud songs being played at the same time all afternoon if you are on the beach- it got a bit jarring. Perhaps others would enjoy that atmosphere. Overall great value.

Staffs are very nice, location is good, Small hotel small room we booked deluxe king I know it high season we pays over US$200/night Not worth it😕No conditioner in room they don’t provide! Bring your own! Hotel only has 2 towels in room no face towels no hand towels you have to ask if needed the hotel only give us 1 key card if you need more you have to deposit (I have never seen this policy before)

Well-maintained property with lots of facilities, a big pool and right on Chaweng beach. Rooms are nice and washrooms clean. The staff is helpful but a lot of them know little or no English, which makes communication difficult since most guests are foreigners!

Loved my stay at lub d, felt more like a hotel rather then a hostel. Dont have anything negative to say about it, the only thing that would have been great would be to have proper air con in the shared showers/toilets.
