We had a really lovely stay at 4U Resort in Lamai. We booked the Family Triple and lucked out with a fantastic location close to the restaurant, pool, and beach. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with more than enough room for a couple staying a full week without feeling cramped.
One thing to note: there’s a wide variety of room types here. Some are in a motel-style building, while others are superior sea-view rooms. Definitely pay attention when booking so you get the setup you want.
The pool isn’t massive, but on a hot Koh Samui afternoon, it feels exactly the right size. The private beach is the real star, though. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and the Gulf of Thailand water is unbelievably warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you mean to swim for five minutes and end up floating for an hour.
The on-site restaurant was solid, though a bit pricier than nearby spots. Breakfast isn’t included, which would have been nice, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Having massage services right on site was a huge plus, and prices were very competitive compared to the local shops.
Overall, this is a great beachfront option in a quieter part of Lamai. You’re close to plenty of restaurants, and just a short cab ride from busier areas and the night market if you want more action.
10/10, would happily claim a sunbed and lose track of time all over again.
