Country inn style hotel with amazingly friendly staff The owner was so keen to help and really wanted you to have a good time Great view of Fuji Few restaurants near by and driving distance to the local attractions. Hotel is being renovated so some areas are newer than others but all very clean. Onsen was great particularly out door one.

The staff here are exceptional. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything that you need and are so friendly and charismatic. We had a lovely stay at Shoji Lake Hotel. The facilities are ‘older’, very traditional Japanese hotel which made our stay a very homey experience. The onsen was wonderful, the indoor onsen was definitely a lot older, but the outdoor onsen was newly renovated and so nice. We will recommend Shojj to everyone going to Japan!

I stayed at Shoji Lake Hotel from December 25–26 and it was unforgettable. The owner welcomed us like family, taking time to chat, recommend local walks, and make sure everything was perfect. Our room had an exceptional view of Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji watching the sunrise over the mountain was a highlight. The room was clean and cozy, the onsen was wonderfully relaxing, and the atmosphere felt intimate and personal rather than hotel-like. I’ll definitely return
