It was an eye-opening experience staying at Camp Koyodai. Did not expect the lack of amenities in the room and was taken by surprise when all the Japanese families staying in the huts (not bungalows) around us were barbecuing despite the rain. Room was cold and futon very thin but I suppose if we had come prepared with our sleeping bags we would have had no issue with that. All in all an interesting experience.
The camp ground is exactly what you see in the pictures. It is beautiful and tucked into the side of a mountain. The staff are so friendly and helpful! We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.
Loved the bungalow feel. It was hot in the bungalow even with the screen open. Would suggest bringing a portable fan if you get hit easy in your sleep. Service was great and our family had a great time.
