Like a dream

We really liked Mayalay resort. It is simple but clean and right at the beach. The beach mest the Hotel was the best part of the beach on Koh Ngai. The staff was very friendly and we could book one extra Night. The breakfast was ok and you could order some single dish if you liked. There was not no many vegan or vegetarian options for breakfast. The food on the resort was good. We want to go back!

3,5 Sterne (Preis-Leistung) großzĂŒgig aufgerundet weil das Personal wirklich sehr sehr lieb und bemĂŒht war und man ein umweltfreundliches Konzept hat. Man zahlt i. W. fĂŒr die Lage auf der Insel - eine "villa" ist es aber nicht. Wir hatten einen 'beachfront' bungalow, einfach und sauber allerdings etwas zurĂŒck versetzt mit blick auf die Massage HĂŒtte und einen anderen bungalow. Das bad war sauber und großzĂŒgig. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war basic, aber ok. Wer nach zehn kommt findet das was ĂŒbrig ist. Eierspeisen konnten a la carte bestellt werden. Das offene Restaurant ist wirklich sehr hĂŒbsch, gegessen haben wir dort allerdings nicht (außer FrĂŒhstĂŒck). Tip top: es gibt thermosflaschen, die kostenlos mit gekĂŒhltem Wasser befĂŒllt werden können!

The beautifull beach and nice and friendly staff made up for some of the issues we have about this hotel. However, I am sad to say that we were very disappointed with our stay. The bed was bad and the pillows (even the new ones we asked for) was hard and smelled strange. The cabin are in no means luxurious (hols in the wall and in the mosquito net and damp overall smell) neither is the breakfast. The cabin as well as the overall resort looks old and and needs a serious update. To be fair we had the worst cabin on the resort, which was maybe just us being unlucky as there were plenty other cabins available. Overall, I think you can do much better in Koh Ngai for even a cheaper price.

Best part of the beach!!

Would highly recommend. Best part of the beach and fewer bungalows than other places on the island therefore less crowded. Worth paying the extra for a Seaview, gorgeous view and beach at your doorstop. Great food and excellent cocktails, would love to stay again!

Le petit dĂ©jeuner est en dessous de tout, les jus de fruit sont fait Ă  base de poudre et je ne vous parle mĂȘme pas des confitures et du miel colonisĂ©s par divers insectes ! Erholungsparadies!!

Wir haben uns in Mayalay Beach Resort auf Koh Ngai sehr gut erholt. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, ruhig und sauber. Sie hat nur 19 HĂŒtten. Schöner Strandabschnitt vor dem Hotel. Unser Erholungsurlaub war rundum perfekt. Wir wollen wiederkommen!

Lovely location, beach could be cleaner

The island is lovely and the hotel is nice although in need of a little TLC in parts. We had a great time, the only shame was the amount of plastic rubbish on the beach, yoghurt pots, water bottles etc. It washes up on the beach overnight, which is a shame in itself but can’t be helped, but the hotel staff don’t seem to take the time to clean the beach. I picked up the rubbish whenever I saw it, and it’s a shared responsibility, but I do think the hotel could do more to maintain the beach as it’s the main selling point for staying here.

Perfekt paradis ö. Inga fordon alls. Enkla bungalows men dÀr allt fungerar bra, sÄ som AC, dusch och toalett. Inga smÄkryp dÄ personalen hÄller efter allting mycket bra. Bra service och bra engelsktalande personal. God frukost. Vi bokade en privat transfer till krabi flygplats direkt frÄn receptionen, och allt fungerade perfekt. Hit kommer vi igen för perfekta soldagar i paradiset. Mer avslappnad plats fÄr man leta efter. Dock finns det ingen ATM, men man kan betala med kortet sÄ det Àr inga problem.
