Not ideal for guest. Needs renovation

It seemed the property was not ready for guests. The rooms and shelves were not very clean. The sink leaked and the bath drainage took a long time to drain. The stoves for cooking did not have knobs for turning it on. You could hardly see with the light in the bathroom when we arrived. The sofa was torn and squeaked. Linen & towels did not look fresh & clean (very old).

It was a very pleasant stay. Good service,room and breakfast. Free wifi. The staff was very friendly thanks Simone`! I will return there in the future and recommend this place for everyone. It is a quiet area, not in the city, its very relaxing and got two pools.

misleading internet advertising

the advertisement on the internet is misleading and the room that they allocated to us was not in the same building . ALL the chairs in the braai area were broken and there was no braai tongs. I dont think it is save because there were no security at the house .

Decent option a bit further away from Durban

Nice drive down in Kloof to go to the guesthouse, even if it is quite far away from Durban (30 mn). Guesthouse is fine and managed by a German who is employing mainly friendly Angolan to assist him. Check in and breakfast are in the main house and some of the rooms are in another house a couple of houses down the road. The frogs can be a bit noisy around the pool at night but they stopped at some point. Good option if you want to be a bit more in the forest than in the city.

Terrible stay Room not ready upon arrival waited 4 hours for ro to be prepared. Booking agents and hotel didn't get our reservation right. Ended up getting double room instead of triple room and there we 3 adults. Disorganised admin lady.

Drop the 4 Star Rating to a 2 Star

The B&B is not even close to a 4 star. The rating and the pictures on the website are deceiving, and it's wrong. I was booked in a building which was quite a distance from the B&B - 36 Krantzview, C4. I had to take a drive to the main building for breakfast. My suggestion is, serve breakfast where people are booked. The room that was allocated to me had a mildew smell. the whole room needed maintenance. Please get rid of the dark, heavy and dirty roman blinds, they are blocking the light and they smell very bad. Invest in white or natural colour 100% cotton bedding. Please get comfortable pillows which are in a good condition. On a positive note, the staff was helpful, and breakfast was nice.

Overall view

The rooms were immaculate and extremely cosy. The management staff were very helpful and made the stay most enjoyable. The hotel is unfortunately located far from the main city Durban and by extension the beach. It has a relaxing atmosphere and is meant as an escape from the busy city. The
