The property is three floors. Room 1 is on the bottom floor, underneath all of the stairs. We were on the third floor, thank goodness! The stairs are steep, and there are quite a few of them if you’re staying in Room 5 or 6. We were in Room 6. The room was small but nicely decorated. The rooms are also very close together, which didn’t feel particularly private. We felt like we had to whisper and keep the TV low because we didn’t want to bother the room that was only about 15 feet away. On the positive side, the free parking and location were great. The bed was comfortable, and the towels were great. Overall, it was a cute, well-decorated property, but just be aware that the rooms are small, close together, and there are a lot of steep stairs.

Felt like home with nice chairs on front porch, and coffee , water, fridge accessible. Although there were other guests, we felt like we were the only ones there (quiet). Also, just a beautiful property and walkable to Portsmouth for the Halloween parade. Loved our stay!

Quaint and quiet

Quaint older inn. Great communication for check in and stay. Fantastic for a weekend couples stay. Highly recommend breakfast at Lil's Cafe and outdoor casual dinner at the Buoy Shack, both within walking distance. Kittery is lovely.
