The apartment was spotless, and the check-in and check-out instructions were easy to follow. Plus, we had to drive a few miles on a gravel road to get there, which added a bit of adventure. The view was also lovely!

A wonderful location with its own waterfall and bridge walk. The host was extremely helpful with suggestions, directions and made our stay easy and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Set up was great- cute kitchen with coffee provided! Great little eating space/living room. Super clean. The property was stunning- nestled back among the countryside near farms and a rolling brook. It was so peaceful. We stayed 2 nights between our glacier day and our Vik day and the location worked great for us.

We had a great stay. We booked one night to be able to do an ice cave tour. Great location! My son enjoyed hiking to an old barn and waterfall. This place was super clean and the linens smelled nice and appeared to be freshly laundered. The cute little grass roof houses is nice and you can even go inside them.

Out of expectation! The place is very clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped. The room is cozy. If you stay here, spend some time walking around the place, it is tranquil and lovely.

Clean and spacious accommodation.

Comfortable, spacious and clean accommodation but could be improved with a few minor changes. For example, the kettle provided was very small for an apartment sleeping 5 and there was only one mirror in the property. Also inadequate provision for drying towels and no instructions provided for the disposal of rubbish and recycling.

This stay was a highlight of our trip. When you turn off route 1, you have to drive 5km over a dirt road, through an absolutely beautiful moss covered lava field. As the dirt road nears the cliffs, I recommend that you stop the car and get out to experience the absolute solitude and stark beauty of this location. You are surrounded by untrammeled lava field and cliffs and waterfalls and nothing but a few water birds. You can’t hear or see route 1, nor do you see any guest house. As you turn to the left, you see the beautiful property set against another cliff. The room was large, modern, warm and clean. The place is newly renovated. The hosts left us some home made waffles for a nice surprise. As dinner was cooking on the outdoor grill, we walked to an amazing private waterfall. The host also pointed out their own private canyon and hill with trails. We could not wait to get up early the next morning to go hiking behind the house to see some amazing views. This is an experience of a lifetime.

The stay was fine and pretty much what I expected—basic but adequate. The room was clean, and everything throughout the property was acceptable and well maintained. The room did get quite hot, which made sleeping a little less comfortable. One thing to be aware of is the access road. The hotel is reached via about 6 km of rough, rocky road, which requires very slow driving and can be a bit frustrating. If you’re concerned about your rental car or prefer paved roads, this is worth considering. Overall, we had no major complaints, and the hotel delivered a decent stay. That said, given the exceptionally high reviews, I was expecting something more memorable. It was perfectly fine, clean, and comfortable enough, but it didn’t quite live up to the outstanding reputation suggested by the ratings.

This is one of the best places I’ve have ever stayed at. The cottage was beautiful and very well kept. The property was a great experience to be able to explore with a waterfall on the property. The owners truly care about their customers. They had games, waffles, and everything we needed to cook. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Lovely location in the middle of no where, with their own small waterfall. Quiet, clean. No problem sharing the bathroom with other guests. Great facilities - vacuum/dryer type thing for wet shoes, good amenities in the kitchen. Definitely recommend for a quiet stay in the country.

This place exceeded my expectations for cleanliness. I am overly picky about where I stay and this stay was one of the few times I have been pleasantly pleased and satisfied. I did not realize when booking how far it was off the main road and this made me nervous as we were arriving but it ended up being a lovely surprise because of the beautiful property we got to enjoy, including the drive back to the house. The host is thoughtful in preparing for your arrival with the waffles and our family loved the bedside lamps with wireless charging and usb ports as we didn’t have to use our adapters for charging. I highly recommend this stay.
