“We had a lovely warm welcome from Morag. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Morag shared with us local recommendations for eating out. Our morning started off with the most delicious Scottish breakfast. We would highly recommend a stay at The Hightae Inn.”

“Easy to find near Dumfries and a nice break into Scotland at the start of our journey. Room was clean and comfortable, and we had the one nearest the ramp so didn't have to climb steps. Room was a bit dark, but easy to move around in, and had sufficient power outlets so we could charge our phones without a problem. Dinner was very good and the owner introduced me to a new ale that i hadn't tried before... great recommendation! We also found out he was the local postmaster, and let us confirm...

“When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook . The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him.
