“The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

“The Dumfries Holiday Inn was an overnight stay for us. The room was large and comfortable, and in the new part of the building. It was clean and functional and we had no complaints. The dinner was of a good standard, and the staff handled a change of order mid-way well. We had wine served in a slightly dirty glass, but that was dealt with promptly and with an apology and minimal fuss. The bar staff, waitress and waiter couldn’t have nicer. “Unfortunately another disappointing night at the Inn. Went for a meal, again staffing issues with chefs resulting in quite a few things not being available. I thought there was a wedding function going on as every now and then loud music would blast through the restaurant area but it was just the music coming from the kitchen area as the doors swung open and closed. Sadly in need of a makeover.”
