Hotel was a quaint older building. Lots of charm and character, clean, good location -- but the mattress felt as old as the place and I did not get good sleep. When paying a boutique hotel price, I expect to have a comfortable, modern bed.

Great location - right in the center of town. The building is very old and well maintained however the windows didn’t fully open or close so noise and cooling were hard to manage. The bath was very modern for such an old building.

Lovely boutique hotel right in the centre of Kinsale. Beautiful rooms and spotlessly clean. Nice staff - very friendly. No bar or restaurant but not needed as the little cafe on the ground floor was lovely and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Totally recommend staying here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Old Bank House in Kinsale. The charming atmosphere, historic ambiance, and impeccable service made for a delightful experience. While the TV reception was subpar, the overall warmth and character of the place more than compensated for it. I would gladly return for the unique charm and excellent hospitality.

Location is great and staff were super nice. The room itself was a little tight and tired. Parking can be a nightmare anywhere in downtown Kinsale, so if you don't have a car, you'll be alright.

Friendly welcome from both receptionists in Blue Haven & Old Bank Townhouse. Hotel is in a beautiful building located right in the heart of Kinsale with views over the marina. The rooms are of a very high quality with original period features, very clean and the large bed was one of the best we have ever slept in. Dinner in the Blue Haven restaurant is not to be missed and breakfast in the Old Bank House cafe was divine. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Maria was amazing. Our room wasn’t ready so she upgraded us to a nicer one! She heard me say I was flying out before breakfast so she wrapped one up, bagged it and brought it to my room an hour after checking in. Top tier service. So friendly, great recommendations, charming atmosphere, wonderfully located. Will come back.

Street side room was extremely noisy. Road noise, nighttime working on man hole cover, car alarm going off for 40 minutes and noisy hallway from drunken neighbors & garbage pickup. These are out of the control of the hotel, but be sure to request room not on the street side.

We hadn’t planned to come to Kinsale but came because our flight from Cork was cancelled due to a UK air traffic control outage. This was definitely a good outcome from a bad situation. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the necessary items such as coffee and toiletries. One thing that was especially helpful for us was the first floor residents lounge. Since our flight out of Cork was a late one, we stored our bags and were able to spend our last hour before boarding the bus relaxing in a nice spot with a restroom, wi-if, and comfortable sofas. The property could not be more convenient to all you will need: shopping, restaurants, beautiful walks, and even an off license grocery next door with nice coffee and hot food takeaway.

Went to blue haven to check in at old bank house as instructed. They said they tried to contact me that we couldn’t stay there due to a maintenance issue and had to stay at blue haven. No compensation. Firstly I’ve had endless messages advertising so I don’t believe they couldn’t contact me. They also had my email and number to leave voicemail. Paid $30eu pp for the world’s smallest breakfast. Madness. Wouldn’t return. Bags of laundry in the hall for the entire stay too. Dingy room. Disappointed.
