It was a nice get away, we were the only guests when we were there, both Breakfast and dinner were great! Very peaceful and beautiful to be just amongst the trees. We drove up the road, and got some snacks and drinks. There is a fridge in the common area, to keep the beer cold. A great place to see another part of Jamaica. Getting there is slow going, narrow and windy lots of potholes to avoid on the road, but worth it once you get there.

Mostly an excellent experience and the hostess and staff were really friendly and helpful. Two downsides are that they did not tell beforehand that dinners and breakfasts cost additionally. Dinner ($18-$24) and breakfast ($8-$10). Also there were some bugs in the room as there was a gap between the door and the door frame. Overall a great accommodation though and ideal for hikers interested in doing the blue mountain peak trail.

After a last minute booking, we were very well taken care of. Perfect departure for a very hard hike to the blue mountain peak. They gave us all the advices we needed. Really enjoyed the stay!

Endroit très agréable, niché dans la végétation, avec une belle vue sur les collines alentours. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons pu dîner sur place, malgré une heure tardive. Nous recommandons le repas sur place qui était délicieux, et vous serez bercés par les bruits du ruisseau en mangeant. Très relaxant ! La chambre et les parties communes ont beaucoup de charme, bien que la salle de bain soit un peu vieillissante. Mais il nous a semblé qu’ils faisaient des travaux dans certains chambres. Vous n’aurez pas le calme absolu à cause de la route, mais la chambre était bien isolée et nous n’entendions que les bruits de la nature depuis l’espace restauration et les jardins. L’endroit est très accessible depuis Kingston, faites attention à quelques nids de poules, sinon la route est correcte dans son ensemble.

Base for hiking Blue Mountain

Rustic is an apt term. Hot water and wifi were excellent though! We ordered dinner each night and both were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. The first night we mentioned we liked Dragon Stout beer. The second night she had it for us. We drove from Kingston and it was fairly scary. Other drivers were all courteous. One of us would move to the side for the other to pass on the narrow bumpy road. About 90 minute drive from the hotel to the Blue Mountain base. I highly recommend hiring a driver. Marvin drove us- the road was treacherous. The hike was very nice. A lot of elevation. It took us 2.5 hours and $20 USD each to climb. We did not have a guide for the hike. The paths were extremely clear.

Das Personal war sehr langsam und unorganisiert. Von Resort und Spa war nichts zu sehen. Die Unterkunft an sich war sauber und gut ausgestattet, Frühstück und Abendessen müssen am Vortag bestellt werden. Wenn man ein Getränk bestellt, dauert es ewig, bis es serviert wird. Der Preis, der für eine Blue Mountain Peak Tour verlangt wird, ist übertrieben.

RUDE AND ARROGANT STAFF

Customer service was rubbish unprofessional and staff were rude and arrogant, the food we had ordered for room service was cold and with no flavour, our room lock was faulty and was locked out even the maintenance guy could not get into the room so finally after finding a long ladder he climbed in through the balcony.. we was given a upgraded room for our final 9 hrs off stay left at the hotel.... would not recommend this hotel at all.

Quaint hotel/guest house in the midst of nature.

This is a great little hotel (but really more of a guest house). I give the overall rating a 4 out of 5. I want to be clear I am not using a star rating like you might assign to the Intercontinental or Hyatt Regency, but more of a 4 out of 5 experience. I believe that when you travel you need to connect with your surroundings. This hotel is located at 5,000 feet above sea level in the mountains of Jamaica. It's a lush setting and a different environment than most travelers on this site will ever experience. The staff is excellent. Tanya and her team do a great job of making you feel at home. The chef is very accommodating with providing meals each day. The grounds are beautiful. I've been coming to this part of Jamaica for years and this a great trip and can thank the hosts for helping to contribute to my stay. 2 night stay is probably all the typical traveler needs before experiencing another location on the island.

Nous avons été accueilli par le chef de cuisine Roger qui est vraiment sympathique, contrairement à Shanique, une responsable du site, qui nous a servi le "minimum possible". Nous voulions essayer les trails du site et des alentours mais c'était compliqué d'avoir des informations, son attitude était plus ou moins agréable. Le Forres Park a un beau cachet et le site est très bien. Roger nous a concocté un excellent souper, il nous a même partagé sa recette et fait visiter les petits chalets à louer. Merci Roger! Départ pour le Peak 190$US comprenant les déplacements, le guide et la nourriture, un peu cher.

A taste of Paradise

I was spoiled by the staff and really wanted to stay longer. Very relaxing, no fuss about anything. Getting up to enjoy the sunshine and the picturesque views changed to my only goal. I felt safe, relaxed, comfortable and well-cared for -- exactly what I needed this weekend.
