Check in was great. We had an entertaining check-in and received lots of information about the hotel, the city and points of interest. Hotel was a nostalgic motel from the 1950’s but was clean and safe.
Staff were really knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. The rooms were clean and it was a great stop on our RT 66 roadtrip.

Check-in was welcoming and informative. We stayed in a super deluxe room (106) and it tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and we slept well with a lite white noise (hum) coming from the heater and the refrigerator.
The room heater if effective in warming the bedroom space but it does not reach the bathroom or the small sitting area that is directly under a window. The window is very drafty.
The bathroom is very tiny, especially for a tall person, and there is no outlet for a hair dryer nor room to lay out any toiletries. The shower is really dark but is adequately warm; there is one little cubby for your soap.
We stayed here for the nostalgia of the historic property as we wanted the vibe of our route 66 trip. I would recommend it for that reason but only if you are ok with the bathroom situation.
This spot had a lot of charm and character! The owner was very knowledgeable about the hotel, the area as well as surrounding areas. This was one of the most fun stops on our trip!
The hotel is historic so it could be thought of as a bit rustic but it doesn't feel like it.
The property was very charming and the rooms suited their purpose. A bit pricey, though.

Very personal welcome with information history of the motel
An amazing and authentic Route 66 motel. Hosts were fun, friendly and welcoming. Gave some really useful information about Kingman and made the check in experience fun and memorable compared to most places. The room was quirky and felt really original like a time capsule. I'm glad route 66 still has places like this.

I love the owners they are the sweetest people! The rooms are cute but need a huge update and really deep clean.
Lovely hosts that took time to explain Kingman history and provide dining recommendations! Fun hotel that gives you the feeling of Route 66 days…nostalgia is a big theme.
Place was kind of run down considering it is supposed to be a Route 66 landmark and destination. Owner was very nice and informative about local sites and history.
This was going to be our historic Route 66 overnight on an extended road trip. Easy check-in with loads of information to help you enjoy your stay and tell you all about the surrounding areas and the history of your location as well as the history of the motel itself.
It is wrapped around the edges, but that was exactly what we expected.
We enjoyed the authenticity.
Sam, the proprietor, is extremely knowledgeable of El Travatore’s past history and he’s very knowledgeable of Kingman and the surrounds. If you are looking for an authentic experience this historic hotel is the real deal! I’m tired of the chain hotels, and am enjoying the history of the El Trovatore!
I booked this place last minute when other accommodation didn’t work out for me - it was way lovelier than I expected! The managers were super friendly and made sure that the room was clean and ready for me, and while I waited for that the manager gave me a quick history of the town and was very kind. Lovely room with great a/c (it was over 100 degrees during my stay and it was perfectly cool in the room). Highly recommmend!
The owners were very nice. They give you a detailed historical account of this classic Route 66 establishment as well as the town of Kingman. Then give you advice on where to eat and how to get around. Very enjoyable conversation.

This place is located superbly to get into downtown or new Kingman parts and it looks just gorgeous! But the lightning within the room/bathroom is too dark and it could be much cleaner in general. Otherwise a fun place to stay for one night and the owner is such a really nice guy!
